I know the statistics say 18 months but all my colleagues had their applications processed in 8- 10 months, if not less. Definitely worth trying.

Congratulations !!! We are in the same boat. Hello All,
Happy news for me!! Movement.. Movement.. Movement.. on my file.
I sent an email to NYVO asking the status of my application last week Tuesday and I received a reply saying that they are waiting for my medical results. When I replied that I haven't received any request to do so, NYVO replied saying that they would send it shortly. This was yesterday. I got an email today saying that the medical and RPRF package has been sent and I would receive it in 2 weeks time. Good to hear some news.
I don't know why.. I get updates only if I ask for it. It was the same case with buffalo VO and now, NYVO.
Any how, happy to hear the news.
I hope the rest of the process will be smooth enough.

Hi Raj, I am in a similar situation...most likely there should be no issues with Medicals now...if you see that magic line on your status . I hope we get our passport request soon. Canada 1 Medical sent on 20/6/2012
Medical line appeared today
"Medical results have been received"
No date is specified...no additional line is there
What does it means....are the medical clear???
how long it will take for decision made as passports have already been sent

Nope. Nothing since the PER. Haven't heard anything from the VO since February 2011. Every time I email I get the same answer : "in process, we cannot give you a date ..". It's been over 20 months since I applied. |

Hello everybody! I just want to let you all know, that we (me and my family), happily landed in Canada 25th Aprlil We landed in Toronto and the next day we came here - to Montreal. We have no CSQ, but we had no problems with anything. We rented an apartment, got our SINs, my daughter is already in the day care for 7CAD/day and my son starts school in september Our health care is covered by goverment of the province since 1st of july and a few days ago i passed my driving knowledge test - i have a road test 19th July and after that i'll obtain Quebec driving license. My husband works, i'm wating for full-time french course which should start at the end of August. I'll be learning french for six months at least. I wont be working while learning french, so Quebec will pay me during the course and they will also pay for my daughter's day care. It's good to read good news from you! Good luck everybody It is always nice to hear about good news of people & especially those in the same situation. Thank you Cay_sha for sharing. But your husband is probably fluent in French. Isn't he? |
