They say god works in mysterious ways... I never check the spam folder where I receive my emails, and I don't expect a PER for myself anytime soon. But with all the excitement I decided to click on my spam folder to see what was inside... there was no PER as expected, but among the "Get any loan you want fast," "Make millions working from home," and "Unlimited Viagra delivered to your door everyday," was an email from a dear friend I had not heard from in over a decade... I could not believe my eyes, and it has been a pleasure writing back to him... So all in all, maybe no PER for me today, but God managed to make my humble life a little more pleasant anyway...

Hi All – It's been some time. Been very busy with work and travels. Just got back a few hours ago, and only managed a few hours of sleep. A big congratulations to all who have received their AORs. For the rest, I am sure it will be a matter of time before you get yours too. As for myself, I received mine on the 29th..  Yahooooooooo! I disagree with this , CIC agents are specially posted just to answer applicants queires, it is in no way going to speedsup or slows down the processing time, more over the apllication rejected is taking approximately 3 months to be recieved back, we have people in this forum who were shocked to see there application returned after 3 months and there cap being filled by that time. Specially in India it is hard to know whether you BD has been encashed...
So if any applicants feel they should contact CIC they should happily do it, email would be the preffered way to get the INFO, if nothing works then we can call up the CIC office but should not pester them with repeated calls...
Once the flood of PER has arrived and every one have the share of PER then I believe we all can discuss about leading a good life in Canada by God's grace.
You might have allready observed by now how vibrant this thread is and there is no dearth of ideas...

I second Bindu. When it is more than 2 months one has submitted application & if one is unable to know even the status of encashment of CC/BD, it is obvious one has to contact CIO atleast by mail to know whether their application is in process or has been rejected. Coz. we have found in this thread that few guys have received application back after 2 months. |

i've written Manila. Forgot to change my profile info in this forum. Thnks @ Psychnars, I read in your statistics that you have mentioned CIO as your visa office. Is it true? if so, you are asking for some trouble becuase you should write the nearst visa office rather than CIO itself....

Dear Crissy
That's the way I did it;
Provided 3 small envelopes ,wrote the name and DOB of each family member on one separate envelope, added my own name as the principal applicant below.
Then I put the three in a bigger envelope,wrote my own identifications on it , sealed it and stapled it to my application form.

For Manila applicant, as per VO requirements, you will need to send Six photos for each family member (with name on the back of each applicant).You could place the photos inside the separate envelope and write the respective person's name on it. I did it this way. Good Luck! |
