Hi all Congratulations for all with progress in their application and all the progress for the best all the way. Regarding driving license in Canada, they have three levels. G1=After written exam in signals and rules, allows you for training with a G licensed driver with 4 or more years of experience, You should have then training for awhile and restrictions on where to drive etc. G2=After road test for G2 and again waiting period for more experience and training. G= full private driving license. A very long process but if you have experience and a driving license from another country, it will make it easier. So before leaving to Canada , keep your driving license valid and go to your traffic department and issue " Driving Experience Certificate" translate both the certificate ad the driving license to English, when applying here for a driving license this certificate should not be older than 6 month so issue just before leaving to Canada, and your Valid driving license. This way when you submit application for driving license supported by Driving license and experience certificate, After you pass the G1 test written exam you can book for G license direct without waiting or even passing though G2 stage even you should pay 85 CAD instead of 125 because G2 fee which is 40 CAD will not be included. Good luck to all

And if I take US$, will they refuse the landing?
You can carry any tom dick and harry money in world to show as POF...it's the conversion to CAD $ which will hurt you...so it's your take...

Please advice..
My medical recd line appeared on ECAS on 24 May now today I can see the status DECISION MADE and inside it says.. Decision has been made on your application. The Office will contact you concerning this decision...
Does that mean I can get the PPR anytime now.. how long do i have to wait...
is this the normal practice that status change into DECISION MADE before sending PPR....

Good luck to everyone and congratulations to those who have received good news recently! I just received my passport with the canadian visa stamped and COPR form! It is quite a pleasing news. Although the info on the forms/stamp look correct, the visa stamp on the passport does not have my picture on it. Is that fairly standard? Does anyone know? Thanks! Yes dear frnd,
Its a good news. Your visas have been stamped. Congrats.

CONGRATULATIONS ! Our office is NYVO, we paid RFPR and did medicals in March and e-cas (med results received) appeared shortly thereafter , but I guess we got warehoused by NYVO. It's annoying, they just collect fees and do nothing thereafter... At least someone here got PR, I am glad for you !

I think it's easy to advise patience when you have already landed I don't think at all that we are there. Every day brings a new proof that nobody knows where it's headed. With C-38 vs court order, they may delay all files (pre 2008 because s 87 allows summary closure and post 2010 because 'in case if they have to process pre-2008'... It is a virus of corruption and destruction that spreads all over. Now Canada is the new victim of a disease. Some day these Westerners have learned that 99% of the rest of the world societies and governments exist by lying and doing all kind of screw-ups. And they asked "Why not us? Why can't we screw people in our own backyard just as they are screwed all over the world?" End of story. I wish we could withdraw our apps but now we can't get all refunds, we can only claim RFPR fees. These *censored word*s just collect our money to invest on long term CD's while they warehouse our lives. It really disgusts me now....
