Getting jobs here is not so difficult if you have a good network of professionals from your domain..

I was initially scared about jobs but only on  2nd day of my search & on my 2nd interview, I got a job....

To be honest, I feel in love with this country now & Happy about my decision to move in...

By the way, got my GCMS notes a month back and I was listed as "in progress" on Criminality, so I think they do background checks before they put it "in process".

That said, has anyone from NYC VO received any phone calls to employers (current and past)

actually i have one question...i was planning to submit my payslips and employment contract letter for the support of my claimed points for my experience in the respective NOC code...however just today i received my GCMS and it states in front of my eligibility passed...

so my question is my VO satisfied with my job description...?...so i can send more supportive documents for my experience points...?

It doesn't hurt to submit additional documents,but those must definitely support your existing profile for which your application has been deemed satisfactory !

Hi all
Landed in Toronto safely, long journey from Kuwait>Egypt>USA>Canada on 3rd of June
Temporary stay at motel , looking for rent, job, etc.
Check application status didn't work, I tried all types of file identification, maybe on update
Any how, Canada is looking nice, weather is wonderful , hope it remains the same all year long but you know.....
Airport CBS people are friendly , always smiling
First on the airplane, flight attendant provides a form for CBS to filled and signed
Proceed to border officers, check passports and CBS form
Proceed to immigration counter,wait in line, submit COPR and passports, officer fills in some form then you sign
All that in first floor, go down to ground floor, collect you bags and proceed to customs counters.
Provide passports,list of items accamponying and list of items to follow forms, detailed excel sheet for the same, pics for jewelry , the officer will stamp and fill some forms, give you a copy of all forms, pics, and excel sheet. Preparing pics for jewelry, excel sheet for for detailed items and 2 forms of accamponying items and items to follow is a great help, thanks to experts like Qorax for that,  even the custome officer was very happy with it, honestly I didn't forget to say we have a great forum providing such great info.
Proceed to exit, there is a traveler help counter before the exit lounge, you can ask for hotels boosts , call the hotel if you have no and arrange pick up by hotel shuttle, generally all people are friendly and helping with a smile.
I forgot to say to speed the issuance of your PR , you should have an address even of a friend or your address if you have aren't already to receive mail.
RBC, ROYAL BANK OF CANADA has a one year free account for newcomers, I opened one , of course a joint with my spouse some remaining formalities will wait till getting SIN.
