well now i'm on final preparation for landing already got visa in hand
I wanted to know after how long you can leave Canada to go home or another country? After issuing the PR ?How long does it take?
Do we have to wait for issuing PR and Social Security NO.? Is it possible to finish the landing formalities, submit SSN application then leave?
The address to receive PR should it be in Canada only?

Hello All,
Finally, An update on my file. I sent an email yesterday to buffalo VO asking for the status and they replied saying, "Your File has been transferred to NY Visa office on April 23rd". happy to hear that there is some movement at least.
But, I didn't receive any email from them unless I initiated a status email (reply on my email). Is this something that I have to worry for (that they don't initiate any email)?
Update: Transferred to NY VO on April 23rd

Hi Satya, that's definetly good news! I am just wondering what would be the logic for your file transfer in spite of you being in Canada already. Do you have any work history in US that your file might have been transferred to NY VO? Also did you fillied Case Specific Enquiry or general email to Buffalo? |

Thanks!! I dont see a logic behind. They are just transferring all the applications. I was in US for about 5+ years and I don't think that is the reason why they transferred to NY VO. Because, A friend of mine who have never been to US found that his application is transferred to Seattle VO. I just sent an email. Not CSE. Thanks, satya. |
