No issues at all for having two applications in process. Having NDVO as your VO will give you a safety net....in case you have to leave Canada for any reason (God forbid), then you can be in India for PP stamping. But if you have Buffalo as VO then you have send your PP to Buffalo for stamping which may not be a possibility. Be aware that when you are asked for stamping ....you will have to make arrangements for your PP to be mailed to NDVO and received at an Indian address. VO will not mail your PP to Canada. GOOD LUCK... Mitali Thanks again Mitali..Points noted,will start and apply CEC by this month end to NDVO.. Lets see, made a big mistake mentioning Buffalo as my nearest VO for FSW. As many whom I know applied last June2011 TO ndvo had already landed with PR. Thanks & Wish u the same :-) |

Two ways to get PCC 1) Get it from your regional Passport office from where your passport was issued (Go there and apply in prescribed format, normally will be issued on the same day itself) 2) Directly apply to your SP(Superintendent of Police) at dist HQ. In some cases City Police Commissioners (only IPS Officers )can issue the same. (2-3 days delay as they issue the PCC after finishing the enquiry through local Police Station) Edwin |

Did you try "off-campus work permit " ?
My wife also holds a study permit, but we got a off-campus work permit for her.
Thanks for your answer. "off campus"doesn't work for his situation, coz it is a full time job and off-campus work permit gives you permission to work only for 20 hours a week. we are about to give up and forget about that job.  |

from police commissioners office at shaibaug, at reception as for window # for pcc...i forgot the window # it will take a month take 3-4 photos and ur passport xerox and ur residence proof hope this helps   |

Thanks Mitali for your quick response!
For CEC, this time I am not going to put nearest VO as Buffalo VO,instead NDVO..as I read they are processing faster than Buffalo..
So I believe applying 2 applications..FSW and CEC would not cause an issue ,unless any one being started in processing...
Are CEC applications processed in ND? As far as i know, i might be wrong...CEC applications are processed either at Buffalo or Ottawa. If you have started working on the CEC application package...can you let me know if CEC applications can be sent to ND? I am also planning to send a CEC application in May 2012..my FSW is RBVO (applied in May 2011). BUt i have not yet got a chance to look at the CEC application package. The CIC website shows CEC processing time as 15 months...but then i have heard ppl say it comes faster than that - not sure if thats true though. |

In this form below, you have to mention an immigration office (question number 4) where you would like it to be processed....so you may put Buffalo or your home country....but according to the Bulletin (in my last post) for Pakistani National, it has to be London UK. Final assessment will be done at Buffalo/ Ottawa or any other VO as they deem suitable.
