A couple of weeks back, I wrote to London VO complaining of the procedure whereby people who applied later are seeing greater progress than those who applied earlier.

I also reminded them of the unfair situation where circumstances have changed due to their inaction which allows one set of applicants, within the same cycle, to get their visa based on their circumstances when they applied while the others have to deal with changing circumstances.

Last week I got the generic response "This is in response to your enquiry.Your application is in process or waiting to be reviewed by an immigration officer. No further action is required by you at this time. Our office will contact the applicant when a decision has been made or if further information is required. Immigration decisions and information requests are sent by post or email to the addresses provided in the application. We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum"

I thought that was the end of it but today I got a follow on which says "Thank you for your recent enquiry. Please be advised that your application has now been reviewed by an immigration officer. The next steps in the processing of your application are due to be taken shortly, which includes the issuance of medical forms. We will be in contact with further information in due course."

At least I got a positive response for my persistence.

That's a "wow" thing!!! Appreciate your voicing to them the Londoners' pains... Hope you have your MR very soon!! All the best  Smiley

HI MITALI,

i just have one doubt.i went for one CSE in the month of december 7th,2011.they replied that further review is needed in my file and they can issue medicals only after completing the review.mine is in process from nov 15th.till now no medicals.

what should i do?shall i go for caips or wait for some more time?

till now no verification call to my bank,employer....nothing

pls advice me

regards,

ann

Send CSE again.....its almost 3 months since your last CSE.

again CSE will make them irritated or make the process delay or?HuhHuhHuhHuh

dont know my friend..be frank,am scared to send ....pls advice

rgds,

ann

irritate?.....arent u irritated/frustrated bcos of the delay?

anyways the CSE is not checked by the Visa Officer....all they do is enter ur file number in the system....n the details pop up...n in return they send the same to U. Tongue

n moreover...im not suggesting u to send CSE within 15-20 days...its almost 3 months from ur earlier CSE

I agree with Canadestin... CSE does no harm... especially when it is so spaced out as in your case!! I had the same worries few months back but I guess it isn't that big a deal... Nothing to worry so much... just go ahead... All the best!

Buffalo Applicants,

Found this on trackitt - Canadiantobe applied in sept 2010 and has got PPR in Feb 2012 from Buffalo.

As posted on trackitt

I just received an e-mail from Buffalo requesting my passport and RPRF $490 I am a post-june 2010 applicant and did my medical on December 2011 but deferred the X-ray due to pregnancy and just took the x-ray on February 3rd, 2012 and it reached Ottawa Health Management Branch on February 14th, 2012 and 10 days later I am getting PPR.. I am sooo happy! The website says that I should be getting my permanent residence visa within 15 business days after my passport is received. I am sending it tomorrow morning.

Congrats & good luck... And hope this just means our fellow-Buffaloers see movements very soon!!! Best luck to one and all  Smiley

Dear Forum,

Here is a wonderful quote that is so apt for those going thru the Canada PR process.

"Happiness is like a butterfly; the more you chase it, the more it will elude you, but if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder"... - Henry David Thoreau

Thanks & Regards,

Pinakini.

Quite true, Pinakini!! I absolutely agree... This has repeatedly happened to me, actually!!  Cheesy But I wish it was easy to control one's temptations to 'chase'  Wink

Congrats to all who got good news from 23rd Feb to date.

I have come back to Bangalore from Oman to collect documentation for landing in Toronto on 23rd March.

I want to know how and where to get RTO letter from Mysore/Bangalore.
My RTO is in Mysore but they say they can not give authentication letter for the DL issued by them.

Please help.

Mycan

Oops that's weird! Why can't they give if that is where they issued it from too? In fact in my case it's the reverse... My RTO is Rajkot and am residing in Ahmedabad since 5.5 years... But Ahmedabad said only Rajkot can issue!!! Does this have a reason you could know of / guess?

Hi Midoo,,

Taking along a penny less is dangerous. The law is for PRV, whatever may be the duration of initial stay. Plz do not risk your PR for such reason.

You need to have all the money or else you will be refused entry. I have heard in some instances where the immigration officer did not ask for the amount but it is very rare.

Don't risk refusal. Go with the specified amount or more.
