good day everyone... I would just like to ask for the email address of CIO. My husbands package was received by CIO August 20, 2010 by G. Miller... My credit card has not been charged & I did not receive any email yet. My concern is that my package might be lost within CIO or thru regular post if ever they returned my package.  I just want to know so that I will know what to do next.
I hope anyone can help me:

Hi Molarious, I hope you aren't going to join our "Apps missing in action club".  Please call CIO 1-613-944-4000 (8am-4pm Eastern Time, Mon-Fri, quieter at end of week apparently) or email  FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca (no spaces on either side of the  @  sign).  Let me know how you make out.

With regards to the whole file #/client #/AOR confusion, here are my two cents on this:

When I first sent in my application, and received an email message from CIO 2 weeks later (bec. of CC problems), they told me to send in alternate form of payment and to mention my 'B file number' which they had also given in that email. That was in mid-september and my file had just been checked for completeness.

Therefore, I believe that the B file number is assigned upon first reviewing a file? Does not sound like an indication for an AOR to me.

Good luck though. Hope we all get the long awaited AOR email soon.

Thanks for your input... Fascinating, all the people I know who had CC problems, had their application sent back. I always wondered why they would not send an email and resolve the matter quickly with the applicant. You are the first person I know of who received an email... Thank god for that, and I assume you solved the problem. I can't understand why they decided to return the other applications.

Hey Guys

today i wrote to CIO the second e-mail asking about the date in which CIO received my application. About a week ago i got this aswer:
"Good Morning

Your application is currently in queue for processing, you will b e contacted by our office upon completion of the assessment of your file.

Thank you for your interest in Canada"

and today:
"Good Morning.

Your application was received by our office 07 Oct 2010, and is pending review. Your will be contacted upon completion of the review of the file."

What does it mean? Is it some kind of progress? They are reviewing my application right now?  Do you think that it's under the cap (NOC 1122)? Please give me something...i have -20 degrees outside so i think i deserve for some good news at least!!!

Anil, I am unable to know regarding encashment of my BD after more than 2 months and hence yesterday , I sent mail to CIC to know the status of my application as I was much worried, thinking that it would have been misplaced or rejected?

Today I got reply from CIC, which is as under.

Application ID # E00XXXXXXX

Your submission is currently under review by our office. You will be contacted in due course.

Hi Mohdy:  You've listed your NOC 1111 and Visa Office as Nova Scotia.  I probably have this all wrong, but are you sure that is your VO as that would be where you sent your application to CIO.  Also, your NOC is not in the list of 29.  Are you coming in under another programme?
