By the way, i believe that a Govt. Official (in a country like Pak or India) is supposed to be a security-cleared by the time he gets into the Govt job and further more any criminal act committed by him can easily through him out of the Govt set-up. Furthermore, i am a senior level manager in Govt. E-media Regulatory Authority in Pakistan, which is supposed to have been thoroughly security cleared from all corners. Even then taking such a long time for security BG checks, is really too difficult to understand.
Anywaz, Lets hope for the best. God may bless all of us!

 @   Zadmalik.....its a million dollar question malik....very difficult to give a definite time frame. But since you are a Govt official...the time (?) might be more than avg (2-3 months).

Pavan's case is unfortunately stuck somewhere.

Hello everybody,

Happy New Year to you all  

I am a newbie but I have just come across this wonderful forum.

My application was recd by CIO on 15th April. Is it normal to receive just MR/RPRF req from NDVO? Should I be expecting a POF and PCC (Indian and FBI) request later? Should I apply for FBI cert now? I had already provided these cert earlier.

Nokiadesire has already advised you correctly. You are not required to send our PCCs any more.

I am just wondering why is the submission date so late in your case....you have mentioned July 2012....is that right? Pl can you recheck the dates of submission.....in my opinion if you have to submit docs within 45 days ( I presume you just recd your Meds/RPRF/PP request) then you should be submitting everything latest sometime in March 2012......why is it July 2012?

Only comment - Canada does not trust any other Security Agency except their own .....IMO.

Please tell me if it has ever happened that  backgrounds checks got completed and applicant got MR, a few days after London VO's usual reply to queries through email that background checks are under process and we cannot tell when they will be completed  _ _ _

I believe BC is an ongoing process and continues till the applicant gets the visas in hand. And the above kind of statement is very std reply from VO
