The idea of putting guess a date for AOR arrival is fun to read. It is also a break from the norm.i know everyone will be waiting for somekind of news if it is dd cashed or aor,we are all nervous etc so lets all keep thhis forum strong and also putting in some humour now and then. Im going to be the BOAR and the date is Dec 10th  Wink Wink Wink

I like the idea Smiley

I would really like to "keep this forum strong and also putting in some humour now and then" because this forum is relieving my nervous & is keeping me from getting insane as a result of this meaningless waiting.

My BAOR is 20-Dec-2010

I submitted my application to CIO Sydney with DHL, on 20th September and it was received in CIO on 22nd September. Yesterday we received whole application package from Sydney, with a notice that fee payment was not received and that test result from designated testing agency was not accompanied with my application.  Sad They did the whole assessment on 24th September. It means that they did it all in just 2 days.

I payed 1100 CAD in the bank which covers my country. The problem was that lady in the Zagrebacka bank could not find the CIO bank account which is stated in Vienna visa office specific instructions   http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/E37042.pdf   , so we payed on the other bank account which is stated in new payment instructions on Vienna visa office internet site   http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/austria-autriche/assets/pdfs/Cost_Recovery_Feetable-E.pdf   , and it was clearly stated that Application for permanent residence can be payed on this other account. That was actually the only bank account which the lady in the bank have seen when she was doing my payment authorization. Since that was the only bank account which they could find in the bank, I thought that is correct. Now, because of Vienna visa office and their two different payment instructions CIO have returned my application. Tell me people what would you do if you see two different accounts and when you come to the bank, they say that they have only one of them that can bee seen? It was clear situation for me, because fee table instructions (from the second link) is issued after Visa office specific instructions (first link).

Regarding the English test, I send my IELTS result so how did they missed it?

What do you people think about this language test note and fee problem? Should I complain to Vienna visa office and CIO or what?
There have been other instances where application was returned because of CIC mistake,  you can visit earlier pages of this forum. Regarding resubmitting, i think you can resubmit your application provided your NOC is not filled and attach a covering letter explaining about account issue and IELTS score.I hope it helps.

I also know from personal experience that immigration lawyers are full of cr*% and don't always tell you the truth. I doubt any immigration lawyer knows more than the 33 weeks that people are being told. These lawyers hate to admit ignorance and they are very good at sounding like they know what they are talking about. Personally, I do not trust them very much Smiley

I see no reason for CIC to wait until April and send out all AORs at the same time, since this will mean a massive influx at visa office. Surely it is better to send to visa office a few applications at a time as their eligiblity reviews are complete than send 20,000 out in one go?

Wayne.
Hi Wayne,

I am not in favor of using lawyers/consultants either and advise everybody to apply themselves. I don't buy this theory of 33 weeks but there is no plausible theory to explain why CIC is not sending AORs to applicants whose eligibility has been determined. By this, i mean applicants who have applied in july/august.

And sending 10,000 applications to VO is not a massive influx if you compare about 50,000 applications (May/june applicants) being moved to VO now in 2 months.IMO, this massive influx is whats delaying AOR for post 26 june applicants. As i mentioned earlier, 10,000 applications in a year is a miniscule amount for CIC compared to past years.

How about a friendly wager between us to pass the time, while we wait for AORs to come out  Smiley

Hmmm..Probably sometime between late November to early December 2010.  After that they will go into hibernation cos of the Christmas and New Year holidays, and wake up in mid-January 2011. Grin Grin Grin
If I need to put a date..its 17 November 2010..What can I say..I am an extreme optimist.  Cool Cool Cool Cool

Echos: my feeling is no matter which NOC you are in, if CIO have made an error in judging your application incomplete then you should reapply with the exact application they returned, add a strongly worded but polite letter of explanation and request being placed back in the queue date of your original app being received.  Put noticeable sign on front of envelope to alert them to fact it is an incorrectly returned application, open immediately (or whatever wording you deem appropriate.)  Good Luck!

Immigrants important for Canada-Study

Canada, 12th November: Findings of a latest study has highlighted the important role played by immigrants in boosting the global competitiveness of Canada.

According to a recent research by CIC(Citizenship and Immigration Canada) published in October 2010, immigrants are crucial for the economy of Canada and hence the government must recognise and accept the value of Canada immigration in making Canada more innovative.

The report also brings forth the important relationship between innovation and immigration.

According to Michelle Downie, the lead author of the study titled ‘Immigrants as Innovators:Boosting Canada's Global Competitiveness', immigrants always look for better ways, which happens to be the very core of innovation.

After a comprehensive study of various innovation dimensions at business, research, culture sector, global commerce, individual immigrant, national ecnomy and international economy, it was found that immigrants exhibit a positve effect on innovation performance resulting in direct benefits to the Canadian economy, Downie asserts.

The research comprising of 60 pages by Canada immigration department states that Canada can work towards developing the underlying innovative capabilities of new immigrants for harnessing the advantages of innovation driven by immigrants.

Canada has recently witnessed its position slipping from ninth to tenth as per the recent Global Competitiveness Report 2010-2011 published by World Economic Forum.

Canada, however, does have the capability to rise up to a higher position due to its abundant natural resources, low density of population at 34 million people and being the second biggest territorial mass internationally.

Canada welcomes highest number of immigrants every year to its workforce. The year 2006 saw a total of 251,511 immigrants coming to Canada under Canada skilled immigration program.

And still, there is room for increased number of immigrants in Canada each year.

As per the estimates by CBC(Conference Board of Canada), an independent research organisation in the country, Canada needs around 375,000 immigrants each year for maintaining a stability in its workforce and for sustainig the economic development of the nation.

It has been noticed that immigrants face numerous obstacles that seem to inhibit their potential for performing upto their optimum levels seriously affecting their innovative activities in the economy.

And the fact that immigrants face delays in recognition of their foreign credentials as well as experiences further results in underutilization of their underlying skills.

Hence, there is an urgent need for employers to send a strong message for immigrants that Canada values immigrant innovators who are of great value to the Canada economy.

I am sorry to hear your case. They could sent it to respective VO and photographs could be added in later process.
But it seems not the case.
Your situation further prove my assumption that CIO is trying  their best to check completeness of application package and the  moment each applications will reach respective VO, it will not take much time unless they find something really wrong during verification ( PCC,  POF).

There is no any issue regarding PCC and POF.
Both are proper in terms of there requirements.

But is there any possibility to resend again this application in 1122 category with photographs.
because as we know 1122 is reached its cap.

If i resend it then is it require to attach that rejection letter about photo requirements with package ?
