Ok he is here with me.  They sent him the London Visa specific instruction and they highlighted the " supplementary information : Your travels, Imm 5562"

That is it.

Hope it helps.

Canadaforall.

Any instructions how to proceed?  Status of application?

Hi. Hmm sounds like a false alarm!

That doesn't sound like an AOR, but that he missed the IMM5562 from his application and that he needs to include it.
Ah well, back to the drawing board....

Thanks for the fast update, anyway, Canadaforall.

Wayne.

What is surprising is, why was his application not returned altogether? They are telling him to submit another form to complete his application... strange  Roll Eyes

True Harvin, regarding the 1 year experience... how about you go rent yourself a crane and start your own company asap... It doesn't have to be a big, expensive Crane  Smiley

"it is very unlikely that they will have a category listed that received '0' apps" Are you kidding, Crane Operators will be in even greater demand. Checkout the salary:

http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Tower_Crane_Operator/Hourly_Rate

What I don't understand is how you can learn about operating a Crane as advertised:

"How would you like to learn about operating heavy equipment or mobile cranes in the convenience of your own home..."  Shocked Tongue  Smiley

I mean no disrespect to Crane Operators everywhere, just joking around until Canadaforall returns, hopefully with good news... Smiley

Ha ha - may be they have a wii simulator that lets you practice before you touch the real equipment. Or even better, a remote control? Wink

Hi Amro:

Are rejection letters sent separately from the application?

Indeed, if they are letting him keep his place in the queue and merely asking for a form to be completed then he has been VERY lucky, especially now that NOC 1122 is full.

Best of luck to him, anyway. Seems like we must all wait a while longer for AORs.

Sigh. Given CIC state AORs should be 45 to 90 days - and those who send applications early July are already at 120 days, I think they should start offering some explanation if AORs are going to be much longer?

Obviously they are busy, but too busy to spend 10 minutes writing on their website telling us what the hell is going on?

Post Feb-2008 are supposed to be case studies for how fast things can/will be once their backlog is complete. With such delays and lack of communication, as well as being an utter discourtesy to those spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars applying, they are going to get themselves into a situation where sort-after, skilled people are going to be looking at other countries to emmigrate to.

Come on, CIC, you can do better than this.

The only different thing that has happened is that they have asked him to submit the IMM5562 to London. So this means his file is already in London or on the way to London. This can be AOR (acknowledgement of Receipt) as this also can signal that he is eligible. That was the only thing that CIC had promised earlier. They had said that they will send a confirmation of eligibility to the candidate and then transfer the file to VO for processing.

That's a point - is there an ECAS number which you can check against?

Hi Kolhapuri:

I don't think they are telling him to send anything to London office, read again:

"They sent him the London Visa specific instruction and they highlighted the " supplementary information : Your travels, Imm 5562"

The main info which should be mentioned in the notification letter (what we are calling AOR) is the applicant reference no.

So please canadaforall confirm the presence of that piece of info.

As per Canadaforall's earlier post 3 pages ago, he is supposed to send this info to london. That is what i am basing my conclusion on.

If there is no ECAS number and they are not telling him to send the info to London... I'm afraid this could be a rejection letter, with the application being on its way back also... Hope I am wrong.
