bank statements from what time period? Last 3 months or longer?
do you think that bank certificate will be enough (if i sell apartment, there will be big inflow on my account, so bank statement from last 3 months will be useless)
Bank statements to show the history are important. Of course, there will be a large deposit but just also include some documentation regarding your property sale (proof of ownership and sales receipt etc). If you take - Bank certificate - Bank statements - Property sale documents Pretty sure you will have no problems. Wayne. |

Folks,
Our tickets are booked for 10th Sep for Chennai - London - Toronto. We are trying to find a place to rent before we land in vain. We are looking at Mississauga currently. Almost all of the listings on the craiglists etc., are like, they need personal references, pay-stubs and employment contracts to sign a minimum 1 year lease. We thought a 6 month lease would make us more comfortable in case we will need to move to some other place, for jobs etc.,
Anyone living there and can help us on this regard with info?

indira_prab, there is no need for a transit visa in UK if you have a valid visa for Canada and continuing tickets.

The BA uses Heathrow airport. Most likely you have no issue of transit visa. Better Check with BA India office and confirm here. Also you may check UK Visa website of VFS UK office in India. I am sure they would be having clear guideance what is Transit visa and who all need them Oops , I did book the tickets directly from BA . I'll try to contact the BA office here and confirm this. Well, it varies from case to case as to how long processing will take. From "In Process" to getting medical requests took us 1 month. Then a further 2.5 months for passport requests. We get our visa this Thursday 21st July - so just over 4 months from going "In Process" to getting the visa. If you have lived in multiple countries or your case isn't straightforward then it could take longer. Wayne. |
