Huh CanadaJimmy??? lex parsimoniae. Neat I learned something more today!!! Occam's Razor must be the origin of another popular saying, "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it probably IS a duck"! A little light relief for the weekend when this thread slows to the speed of molasses in a Canadian Winter. I think the fact that so few applications were returned incomplete is a tribute to those who worked so hard to complete them accurately, despite the procedural newness and conflicting instructions. I think CIO's policy of One Application/One Evaluation will save masses of officers' time and perhaps some of those resources can be directed to the Mail Room and Call Centre.

Haha, exactly I think the fact that so few applications were returned incomplete is a tribute to those who worked so hard to complete them accurately, despite the procedural newness and conflicting instructions. I think CIO's policy of One Application/One Evaluation will save masses of officers' time and perhaps some of those resources can be directed to the Mail Room and Call Centre. I agree, also it seems like they're catching out mistakes a lot earlier, not just missing items even actual mistakes on the form.

Speculations have little practical use, whether based on simple or complicated set of reasoning. It's been less than 5 months since the first of Post June 26 applicants sent their complete apps to Sydney, NS CIC. A little patience may be in order The best thing applicants can do is to update of their AOR status , so we can all compare our timelines and know when to expect our AOR's, Medicals, Decisions etc. All the best!

totally agree. I don't see any relation between filling the cap and sending AORs. Some say they don't want rejected applicants to re-apply, but they had already returned incomplete applications and people sent them back again.
What I think is they are still working on May and June applications, and once they finish them they will start processing ours. It's just a matter of few weeks before they finish pre-June26 applicants. Nevertheless, there are 3 theories why they won't start issuing AOR's to us soon: - They need more time to finalize the eligibility review (though they told people that they finished the ER till mid September) - They don't want to send our files to the VO now to avoid overcrowding them (though I think 4000 more applications won't make a real difference for visa offices) - They want to start with pre-Feb2007 applicants before us (but remember, the CIO has nothing to do with these applications, they are sent and processed directly at visa offices)
The bottom-line is: We shall expect our AOR to start arriving in few (< 3) weeks, otherwise, there is something wrong.
I think if the reason they are holding back is load at visa office then this is very unfair. People want to know if they passed their eligibility review, since for many this is the most critical part of their application and the likeliest place they will fail, if any. If they told people if they passed their eligiblity review or not then most people I think would accept a delay sending to visa office, at least they know they made it past the first major hurdle. Wayne.

I agree; waiting for may-june applicants will take a long time to finish since they have to gather their documents and appear for IELTS and then VO has to verify their documents also. There is no sense in processing the applications in order at VO, i hope they are processing in order just at CIC. I also agree that they should intimate the status of applications once the reveiw is done. I still do not understand and i have mentioned here before also, the number of applications that CIC is receiving now is minisclue compared to pre 26 june applicants, why can't they process our applications concurrently. If they had sent the AOR to eligible candidates who applied in JUly-August, they might have gottten PCC and medical request from their VO.

Dear Coffee and Wayne... Don't you think, guys that it is the time to send the letter you were writing? We deserve some explanations about how actually the process is going? And the CIC intentions towards eligible and rejected files!

I find myself hung in uncertainty, and was personally thinking of sending the draft this Wednesday. since this is a joint letter (I assume so), don't other members want to participate in 'massaging' contents before it is sent? also, suggestions on date when to send are also appreciated

I propose to wait 1 more week. CIC needs time for further actions for 1122. Maybe firsts AORs will appear. If after 1 week no changes - send it.

Hi Coffee: Could you post the contents of the letter again please. It seems some of our earlier questions may have been answered while others remain. Thanks, Cam

Hi Coffee, IMO, letter can be sent next monday (Nov 15th) after you get the inputs from other members this week. One thing that could be added is about NOC 1122. Now that it is filled, we can ask about its processing procedure. Overall also, i think that the emphasis should be on better updates from the CIC and to know the procedure they are gonna apply to post 26june applicants since it looks diifferent from what they have mentioned earlier.

Thank you Pippin. That is very encouraging. I am very pleased to have made the initial 1000 and hope to make it to the final ones that are successful. I actually sent it with standard post from the post office (though with delivery confirmation). I choose to land in Edmonton; though I have relatives in Toronto. Another development: My wife applied for FSW in July 2007 and was received 1st october 2007 in Accra (Ghana) office. They started procesing since 31st Dec 2007. The status has remained "we started processing your application since 31st Dec 2007" and nothing changed. the bank notified me (after enquiry) that the Bank draft is only valid for 6 mths. I canclled it since 2008. We got a letter from them just last month saying that they could not cash the draft. Can you imagine after 3 years! I don't know if they think that bank draft has 10 years validity. In the letter, they threatened to cancel the application if another draft is not sent withing 60 days. I have sent another draft to them through DHL. Tracking from DHL website shows that it will be delivered to the visa office this morning - 8th november. I had to pay again because I don't know which will come first. besides, we have waited for so long.

I agree with you here, but the question is what is the reason for taking so long in dealing with pre6/26, they are not doing eligibility on them right? They should have finished them 2 weeks ago. On the second part, yup they could indicate a schedule on when to submit your papers to VO in order to give time for the VO personel to work on the applications on timely manner.
