Hello everyone: After hearing some board members discussing meeting each other, I thought I would re-post my message from a few weeks ago: In the spirit of helping one another, I would like to create a group. Those of us who are lucky enough to get the PR Visa (and I pray that I am in that group), will face a challenging time initially after landing. There will be legal matters to take care of, employment matters, housing matters, etc. If we can form a group that meets on a regular basis in Canada, we can share our experiences and knowledge and help each other. I am hoping to get to the Toronto region, if there are others going there who would like to take part in this gathering, please in-box me (send a private message) your emails. I am creating a list to contact everyone. Most of us here have applied around the same time and will hopefully get our landing papers together... it only makes sense to meet once we are there to help each other... I realize we are months away from landing, but by starting early I hope to put together a big group... we are already over ten people. United we stand I will post this message every now and then as the months go by for others who are interested to join. I hope some of you find value in what I am proposing. Take care and God Bless, Cam

Coming back to the timelines...
I was analysing the timelines of May and June applicants in other forum and found out that they have received CIO response (first AOR) within an - average of 55 days after encashment (minimum is 37 days and maximum is 69 days) - average of 140 days after CIO received docs (minimum 114 days and maximum 155 days)
If early post 26/06 applicants will not start receiveing their AORs next week or two I would join the idea that CIO is stockpiling our applications for the reason of serving old 2004-2007 applicants to reduce old backlog, although I believe we and they can go simultaneously since there are not many post-june applicants anyway.
Also i would like to make a comment on those posts where people believed that our process should be 120 days shorter. Want to remind that 120 days is a max time they were allowed to gather their docs, in reality many of them were submitting their docs in a shorter period of time, at least those who planned well. So in fact, our timeline should be shorter, not by 120 days though but on average by 60 days only.

Don't expect another NOC (most probably 3152 Registered Nurses) to reach the cap before another 3 months. Therefore, their daily updates don't add much.

Now that the 1000 cap is reached for 1122, it's possible they won't update, or will update less frequently, until another NOC gets past the 700/800 mark. Wayne.

Most probably they will start sending the AORs & the rejected applications for NOC 1122 during the next week, they can't wait more than that. If they are intending to wait till they reach the 1000s of all the NOCs, that will be nonsense & stupidity from their side & i don't think the CIC managment is stupid.
Any comments ?

I cannot grasp the concept of waiting for a NOC to fill up before issuing AOR at all. Am I missing something? I thought they were processing the applications in the order they were received. For NOCs that will NEVER be full (our dear Crane Operators) why would the few applicants in the lower subscribed categories have to wait longer because fewer qualified in their group, rather than be processed in queue?

totally agree. I don't see any relation between filling the cap and sending AORs. Some say they don't want rejected applicants to re-apply, but they had already returned incomplete applications and people sent them back again. What I think is they are still working on May and June applications, and once they finish them they will start processing ours. It's just a matter of few weeks before they finish pre-June26 applicants. Nevertheless, there are 3 theories why they won't start issuing AOR's to us soon: - They need more time to finalize the eligibility review (though they told people that they finished the ER till mid September) - They don't want to send our files to the VO now to avoid overcrowding them (though I think 4000 more applications won't make a real difference for visa offices) - They want to start with pre-Feb2007 applicants before us (but remember, the CIO has nothing to do with these applications, they are sent and processed directly at visa offices) The bottom-line is: We shall expect our AOR to start arriving in few (< 3) weeks, otherwise, there is something wrong.

Interesting. For me that would've been November 3rd but I've not had anything, hopefully I'll get something within the next couple of weeks. So much for the IELTS speeding things up though, this doesn't seem any faster than the old system.

Pippin i agree with you, but I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DIDN'T SEND ANY AOR FOR POST JUNE APPLICANTS TILL NOW, WHY THEY ARE WAITING ? the only explanation is that they are waiting till the cap is filled (i also don't know why). So i think they will send the AORs of 1122 during the next week, Of course they can't wait till all the NOCs are filled since they realized that some NOCs will never reach 1000& if they are going to wait so it will be nonsense & stupidity from their side & i think CIC are not stupid. !! Your theory is needlessly complicated, Occams Razor states that the simplest explanation is often the correct one. In this case it's that they're just being slow sending them out, rather than some elaborate scheme where they wait for some NOCs to be filled but not others.
