There will be a file number for your application irrespective of a positive or negative review at CIO (the term as coined on this thread is PER or NER).This file number can be used as a reference for future filing of PR application (in case of NER) and of course has to be used for further correspondence in case of PER.
Ecas will show "ER complete-CIO" even for NER.
Mitali
In the case of NER ECAS shows "decision made" I felt it on my skin. Viktoria

Hello friends, Unfortunately, I have some bad news.
I contacted CIC immediately after I received an unfair NER. However, they stuck to their guns and insisted that the decision was final. Even though the decision sounds very ridiculous (telling me my highest education was high school when they assigned me full points for work experience as a physician).
I believe everything in life happens for a reason and since there is no formal appeal process, I have decided to accept the decision in good fate.....life has to go on. Since I finished a masters program a few months ago from Canada, I now have a lot of points to spare so I am planning to reapply in the near future once I gather the necessary documents again.
To the seniors here and everyone in this forum who has offered kind advices and have been supportive, I say thank u. Please you can now remove me from the active spreadsheet.
And one final question, I suppose at this point I will be getting a refund. Anybody knows how long it takes to get a refund after a refusal?
Very sorry to hear that Оzone, You're right life has to go on. Тhis lost battle is not lost war. Collect forces continue to fight. Do not give up!! I wish you much success in the next attempt. Viktoria

In the case of NER ECAS shows "decision made" I felt it on my skin. Viktoria Hi Viktoria, I thought "Decision made" will show up only at the VO stage. I believe at CIO stage only eligibility of the application is being assessed and the final decision can only be made by the Visa officer. If its a NER then the cause(s) of rejection will be mentioned in the Email sent to the candidate. I say so because I have a failed application and the Ecas for that application still shows ER complete CIO-S. Please correct me if I am wrong. Regards, Mitali

Dear Friends from ND visa office Can you please let me know what kind of envelope they will use to send the medical request ? Is it the regular size small envelope with a window opening or the big brown A4 size envelope? I believe that they will use the register post to send the request right. I am happy to receive the AOR yesterday but worried because I received it very late. The letter was posted on 23rd March 2011, which took more than 2.5 months to reach , where as the request for PCC came in just 15 days time. Both letters were unregistered. What will happen if we receive the medical request with the dead line already passed ? How can we tackle this kind of situation? Thanks Pratik

Dear friends, Could u please guide ,for how long the accounts showing balances as proof of funds be maintained as those are ? I mean to say e g..i have FD`s showing all the funds in two different banks. Now a few of the FD`s are going to be matured by the end of this month. May i have to renew those under the same account no.`s or i can transfer the funds in my saving bank account( not shown as proof of funds). I got MR/PPR/RPRF dt 11/4/2011.Medicals couldn`t be done ....for those were sent for some rectification on 18/4/2011 and i haven`t received back as yet. However i sent RPRF DD that got encashed on 30/4/2011. Also i got receipt for the DD from VO. THANKS Monty

hi montycan. if you are in the PPR stage, then the background check is done and the security check assumes. It is safe to say that your account can be move at this point. You will be needing it back when you're already landing at the POE. For more relevant information on Migrating in Canada <- check that site
