Hi Wayne i hope you are doing good..
Well the address of the consulate is 38 Grosvenor Road, very easy to find with rockin Canadian Flag... to submit passport you have to queue outside the main door on the street..then you will go in the reception area and they will turn you back in 2 mins... its quick
And Yeah i was about to message you yesterday, that do not worry about encashment because my draft was encashed 2 days before i recieve my passport request..
It seems that when they are ready to send the passport request by then they cash in the draft.. just a thought...
In my case i had checked with the bank earlier they said no i was bit worried then received request 2 days later lolx.... i dont know how they are picking applications for further processing but there is something its not random but as you are picked so you will get it within a week - IMO... i feel really sorry for aug/sep applicants.... keep me update wayne .. cheers..
Ok m8 thanks for the info Well I can do is wait and maybe call the bank once per week. Hope your collection goes ok next Thursday! Wayne.

This may have been asked in the forum before...
I applied to Buffalo and currently at RBVO status - I now have a Masters Degree almost to completion with all requirements met. By submitting the additional degree I would certainly get a few more points in addition to the previously met criteria..
With Buffalo Visa Office unresponsive, what is my best approach in this scenario of an additional degree - also a change in mailing address along with.
Any inputs?
Many thanks in advance!

Hello everybody, I did my medical yesterday. It was fast and easy. Cost me around $650 (for 2 person). They told me that my results will be send within 7-10 days. Some guys in the forum tell me that there are questionnaires like how much you drink? and how many you smoke? But I was not asked too many questions. About 10-15 questions, like whether I have STD, am I a drug addict, Do I have nervous problem etc? I guess they ask different questions for different visa office. Doctor told me that they are sending the report to CIC, canada and not to Buffalo Visa office. I didn't know about that. I thought Buffalo is now handling our application. But this is a good news especially if you are applying from overworked VO ( )

Do not rely on changing information to Buffalo VO. I changed my address and contacted them through emails and case inquiry. After several attempts and many months, they still send my medical request to old address. Luckily, the post office is transferring all my mail from old address to new address for one year. If they extend my application past february 2012, I will be screwed. This is my experience. I am still trying to change my address in their system. I'm sending them fax this time, atleast 10 of them at a time. Goodluck with yours. This may have been asked in the forum before...

I agree too, Just go for degree certificate first , if certificate was not issued before then you can ask for original else you have to apply for duplicate but make sure to get it asap as you never know the delay from university side. else remaining points are not as important as first one, Hi Mayank, in a way its a good news that VO is looking into your application.
1. Do send notarized copies of your Degree's. If you don't have degree's then get duplicates from the university as VO will not be convinced if you send them mark sheets again. 2. Send them photos of your marriage along with photos of your honeymoon or any other place you both visited after your marriage. (As much as you can) 3. Sit with your wife and fill this questionnaire, After filling it copy it and save it as future reference. (Worst case - they could call you for an interview and may ask questions from it)
I too had my wife's name in my passport and my name in her's , but in the interview she asked some questions related to our marriage. I was sure that they wont doubt our marriage and wont ask any marriage questions but they did!.
Just take a chill pill, you just need to satisfy the VO!

Mayank As per my information, every university has a time frame (each year) where you may fill in the form (convocation) and university issues the degree certificate. If this is the case applicable in your university also then you may not get the degree upfront. The alternate to this situation is get the provisional degree/ passing certificate from the university. Most of the universities issue this. Check what is possible in your case Regards I agree too, Just go for degree certificate first , if certificate was not issued before then you can ask for original else you have to apply for duplicate but make sure to get it asap as you never know the delay from university side.
else remaining points are not as important as first one,

I will be doing the mail forwarding and will keep it for a year or even longer if Canada Post permits. Will fax them as well. Thanks!
