Hi all, we sent a email to our advisor/agent asking if there was any time scales they knew of yet ref our app, received a answer this morning saying London CIC have been advising everyone severe delays in processing times, can expect it to be at least 8 months before we hear further. They dont beleive any benifit can be made by contacting them at this stage,if not heard by Oct contact at that stage. I feel rather sad, thats almost 2 years we have been trying as our first app was returned, then had to reapply under new rules. It seems to be never ending, sorry to sound a little grumpy today, just feeling rather sad over the timelines now. Goodluck to all that is waiting to hear and congrats to all that has had good news.  Embarrassed

I think your agent is full of crap. How does he know?

London are clearing moving on post-June-2010 as we've had Wendy and Amro receiving medical requests in the past few days, and Danish with passport requests a couple of weeks ago. And all visa offices are currently prioritising post-June-2010 applications.

Now, they seem to be doing nothing at all with pre-June-2010 at the moment. If they aren't working much on post-June-2010 applications for 8 months then what they hell are they doing to be doing for the next 8 months, getting a sun tan outside? Smiley

Things will be slower over the summer, but not drastically slower. Over the summer they have less staff (because people taking annual vacation) and also they have student holiday visas to sort out.

But just because things will slow down a little I don't think it will make a vast impact.

Obviously, they all need more staff to run things Shocked, and need to hire and train some with that in mind.

I mean, one would imagine that a nation such as Canada, that stakes a lot of its demographic gains more on immigration than on any other means would take such steps to ensure things don't slow down by any margin!

i dont know how they have come up with that timeline, just thought id let you know what his answer to my question was. I know there are lots of members of the forum who have waited longer than us,i suppose im just stressing as if this goes on for ANOTHER year, we will loose out to our points in age,and our son will be to old to return to school, just so many factors riding on this. Plus we are all entitled to have a moan every now and then . Embarrassed

Dear Ash

(1) RPRF is only for adults (18 or above). So you have to pay CAD 490*2 OR equivalent local currency. Please see the letter that might have come along with RPRF request. In that it will be clearly mentioned. Usually, if you are paying in equivalent currency, then it should be in favor of your VO. And if it is in CAD i.e.CAD 980, then it has to be 'Receiver General of Canada'. Either case, you have to send this RPRF to your VO (as instructed).
(2) That will taken care by your DMP. Still if you are tensed call your DMP and get the things clarified ... you anyhow have to take an appointment.
(3) Yes, this is the form that has been sent to everyone for medicals. There is nothing else. All the procedure will be taken care by DMP. Don't forget to take this form, PP (for all) + PP copy.

All the Best.
Cheers, Anil

Hi Anil,

RPRF Fees for all adults (18 & above) - does it mean that if your child is above 18 his/her fees is also payable.

Secondly, if the draft is made in favour of Receiver General of Canada - is still to be payable at Delhi.

Thanks for the answer in advance

Surely there will be some backlog that VO's will carry forward. But I am of the view that since there will be new immigration policy from 1st July, people all over the world will take some time before actually filing for immigration, so we should be expecting that in the month of july no new file will be filed. And furthermore taking a cue from last year's experience I think they work in batches, so anybody filing in July August or Sep 2011 will be processed together. So this gives the VO Sep2011 to clear the backlog for 2010 applicants.

This is what I think (although I am not very optimistic about the working of VO's)

Hope to hear at least something from them this month.

Cheers

Amar

Hi Amar,

I wish this comes out to be true. Someone informed yesterday that his friend's file submitted before June2010 is not being entertained for his occupation is not listed in the current demand.

If so, what would happen to the files of the applicants after June 2010 whose NOC codes are not listed in July 2011 list?

Thanks

IMHO, they will concentrate on a new quota post j2011 if one should come into force. The best thing for really old applicants is to file another parallel application, should their NOC still be listed.

I also think they're (CIC) in a right mess, with a incredibly large number of people in their backlog and the labour / immigration ministry de recognizing their NOCs as urgently required.

Whatever the case, at least an official clarification to address concerns of all should be announced or maybe a helpline that provides specific answers instead of generic ones.

Cheers,
Rahul.

Hi Rahul,

Must be busy packing to move to Canada.

Just a question - you said that you had been to CHC ND to get your COPR forms corrected. By any means can we submit out PPs by hand or into the drop box as is allowed by some other VOs. I am in Delhi and I think if allowed that is the best option.

Thanks
