Hi,

I had posted my application details few days back. I saw my details on the Immigration Tracker sheet and I had some corrections to propose (in my details) to the moderator. My ID is BhaktiUjjwal on this sheet too.

My 2nd AOR date would be 7 April 2011 as that is what the formal letter is dated as.

Secondly, the 3 columns that calculate days surpassed (Columns M, N, O) have not been set up for me.

I think only the moderator can make these changes. Will be great if this is done.

ADVICE ON PROOF OF FUNDS

Dear fellow post-June-26 thread members,

I have just received a personal message (I won't name the sender) who borrowed money from friends for proof of funds and is nervous because CIC might ask for bank statements, and is asking my advice on what to do next to further help conceal this from CIC.

Let me please make my own position on this VERY CLEAR when people ask me advice about this kind of thing.

Borrowing money for proof of funds and pretending those funds are yours, when they are not, is illegal.
- You will be defrauding the Canadian government
- You will be cheating the system which is unfair on other honest applicants
- It is also unfair on the Canadian welfare system when you arrive in Canada with borrowed money which is not yours
- It is unfair on yourselves to put further strain on what will already be a difficult financial struggle

CIC explicitly say "You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person"

These rules apply to all FSW1 applicants. Which part of "You cannot borrow this money from another person" do applicants feel doesn't apply to them? Seems applicants, especially from India, supply only a bank certificate so they can conceal borrowed money and hope CIC won't find out about it.

And then ask me for advice on how best to continue their fraudulent actions. This worryingly seems to be happening more and more.

So, for everyone listening, I won't condone this and won't give any advice on how to trick CIC in this regard. If CIC find out that you borrowed funds and pretended they were yours, not only will they fail your application but it may also make you inadmissable to apply again for a number of years.

Furthermore, for anyone who has cheated the system in this manner, I hope you are caught.



On a more constructive note, if people want my genuine advice - if you do not yet have adequate funds to apply:
1) Save up, or also look into selling assets. Some visa offices will also accept equity in property as proof of funds so if you own a house you can provide 3 valuations and a mortgage letter as part or all of your proof of funding
2) If funds are a problem then you can secure a job offer and apply in Category 2, in which case you are not required to provide proof of funds.

I'm sorry. I'm not contributing in the forum lately because:

1) I was extremely frustrated and i didn't want to transfer any negative feelings through the forum:
(frustration , anger and sadness )

2)I'm quite busy between my work and studying for some exams related to Microsoft as my online exam will be next Sunday.


Any way, I have to share this very funny story:

Today, my wife (the main applicant) has received a phone call from Cairo VO. My wife told me, she was shocked because instead of hearing from them regarding the medicals which is extremely delayed, the officer asked her about clarification of (what they have already asked about before) And surprisingly, they didn't open the package that contain the requested documents.And it seems that they may lost it!!!!!!:(

The officer was surprised that we have already sent them the package. She asked about the method we sent it and what dose it contain exactly She told my wife that they will look for it and will contact her if required.

Another funny part that we have inquired three times. The first one to ask for our deadline, the second was to confirm if they have received the package and the third time was to inform them that we did not stick their labels as we have received the second AOR on 27th of April after we have already sent the package although it was dated 9th of March. And they never replied to any of our inquiries.


Even though I'm quite mad of their carelessness and their ignorance, but I'm a little bit relieved (only little) that i knew that they didn't open the package and look at the papers. Because i'm not convinced that they'll take 2months to verify them!!!

A package was deliver directly in VO mail box: 18/4/2011

I already got my PER...i hv Question regarding my mailing address...Actually i hired a consultant for my case...now i came to know that, the mailing address in my initial PER(CIO Approval) shows My consultant address, who lives in BC province of CANADA..

Now my Question is....
1) in future when CHC, New Delhi visa office will communicate regarding my case,
does CHC will send all communications on that address....?
2) what is the procedure of for change the address?

What is the NDVO policy if there are issues with the medical exam? Is a second exam required?

I was wondering about the BFD dates for the above candidates. may be they fall on weekends or on some public holidays. My initial BFD was 22-Apr, which was 'Good Friday' and with my PP being returned for damage issues, my latest BFD is 16-June-11.

Cheers Wayne, my ECAS is also still "In Process" with no Medicals on it yet. Seems like London is on Pause Mode for few weeks now. Hopefully there is no new policy change after Mr Kenny's Conservative government got full majority.
