hi brother
may i ask did the vo give you one or two month to submit your mr ?

Hi Om Saif!

They have mentioned in the first paragraph of the medicals letter that I "should do my medicals within one month from the date of the letter". Then in the second paragraph, they have mentioned that "failure to complete the medical results within 2 months may result in refusal". So I think that: we must do the medicals within a period of one month and they give themselves another extra month for mailing delays between Cairo => London => Cairo.

As far as I remember because the letter was taken by the DMP.

Oh Oh Oh, magdy!!!

I'm sorry. I'm not contributing in the forum lately because:

1) I was extremely frustrated and i didn't want to transfer any negative feelings through the forum:
(frustration Sad, anger Angry and sadness Cry)

2)I'm quite busy between my work and studying for some exams related to Microsoft as my online exam will be next Sunday. Huh

Any way, I have to share this very funny story:

Today, my wife (the main applicant) has received a phone call from Cairo VO. My wife told me, she was shocked Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Undecided Undecided Undecided because instead of hearing from them regarding the medicals which is extremely delayed, the officer asked her about clarification of (what they have already asked about before) And surprisingly, they didn't open the package that contain the requested documents. And it seems that they may lost it!!!!!!:( Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

The officer was surprised that we have already sent them the package. She asked about the method we sent it and what dose it contain exactly Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed Lips sealed She told my wife that they will look for it and will contact her if required.

Another funny part that we have inquired three times. The first one to ask for our deadline, the second was to confirm if they have received the package and the third time was to inform them that we did not stick their labels as we have received the second AOR on 27th of April after we have already sent the package although it was dated 9th of March. And they never replied to any of our inquiries. Angry Angry Angry Angry

Even though I'm quite mad of their carelessness and their ignorance, but I'm a little bit relieved (only little) that i knew that they didn't open the package and look at the papers. Because i'm not convinced that they'll take 2months to verify them!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

The original application was sent to CIO:     2/9/2010
                                             PER    :    21/12/2010
                                             RVO    :    4/3/2011
Call to request clarifications :   30/3/2011
A package was deliver directly in VO mail box: 18/4/2011
Another call to ask for the same things         :26/5/2011

Thank you, magdy for asking and hope you and Cairo will receive your passport request next week. And engy as well. I really wish you, guys all all the best Grin Grin Grin

Thank you so much smaar for your call. I was really pleased with it. Smiley Smiley I wish you the best, brother and i wish you hear from them ASAP. You have been waiting sooooo much

I'm really grateful to you, Moori. Your last PM really made a difference. Wink

Congratulations to all who received good news specially to you, Victoria. Smiley

Terribly sorry for all the bad news i read lately on the forum. Sad

Terribly sorry for Indira's illness. Shocked My prayers to get well very very soon.

canady

Canady, I must say that I like you a lot man!

I can feel your frustration and anger from the negligence Sad ... But, we can summarize all this hassle in just 2 or 3 months delay, isn't it ?
I pray and hope so my friend.

Next time, do stick this barcode things one on the envelope and another on the explanatory letter. This will guarentee that the package will process correctly and also if the envelope is torn, the cover page still has the sticker ... They can't escape from us Smiley

The fact that they have waited for sometime ans called you back coincides with the theory of BF'D (Bring Forward Date).
You can find something about it here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t39705.0.html

So... We now know that your file won't be looked at till the next BF'D comes, so I advise you to relax a little bit ...

& I can also conclude that the time between two BF'Ds is nearly one month in Cairo VO relying on your times and mine also.

Its just so exciting to wait and wait to see our cases slowly moving ahead, the feeling of wait is sometimes unbearable.

Lets pray that everything will go normally especially the demonstrations tomorrow in Tahrir.

I know Canady that we will be freinds in Canada if your planning also to land in Toronto.

I'll send you my number in a pm.

Sincerely Yours,
Magdy

you need to call the FBI customer care and tell them about your situation and your dedlines. They are very nice and cooperative and they track all application instantly.
You also need to send a detail mail stating your need and deadline in the folowing address. I was getting delayed as well. but after getting advise from a a senior I did this and they sent it in 3 days and also informed me that they are sending [quote author=leodr link=topic=it by which date.

liaison @ leo.gov

Thx Katy for sharing such information. It should be of use specially for those willing to apply Smiley I have never known that Ielts has a kind of agreement with the CIO. Neither I thought that they would work together with courier to pick up your whole package for that reason. I have to debate the fact that the british council can give a second copy upon payment because I have tried this and they never agreed on it. I would support the second choice with the arrangement with a university to collect your second copy and send it to you Smiley

Hi Moori, Smiley

I didn't mean British Council can give a second copy upon payment.Sorry for any confusion that I have made.  Tongue To make it more clear I should say; You are allowed to ask for five TRF duplicates for free at the time of applying for the exam. If you have already taken the exam and you want to apply for the duplicates later, then you have to pay the fee. In niether case any of duplicates is submitted to you yourself. They can only be submitted to a number of organizations, institutions and universities the name of which you may find on the British Council site. Select your area and then go to the link " Organizations that recognize IELTS". Names and addresses are there. Now you may either ask someone in those organizations to accept to be the recipient of one of the duplicates; So give their address to your exam center-do not disclose to IELTS people that you are doing so to have an extra copy for yourself ;although they may guess themselves as it has become a routine-and then collect your TRF duplicate from that helpful person. Or you may consider the possibility of dispatching your application to CIO from the IELTS center  where you will be handed over one of duplicates to include in your package.

This is what I was said by IELTS people when I was desperately seeking for a copy to re-submit when my first package to CIO had been reported as lost by the courier. Anyway, I managed to get two of the duplicates from two institutions whose helpful staff agreed to be named as the recipient.

Congrats to all with positive news, best wishes to all still waiting...

I've missed this forum while we were on our little adventure:

After the celebration of getting our passports back was over, to our horror, we noticed that my spouse's marital status said "single" on the COPR, even though it later alluded to me as the spouse on the same document. After a lot of deliberation we decided it was time to get it corrected. But instead of mailing back the whole shebang with a covering letter we visited the CHC in New Delhi, the hallowed grounds  Smiley . Surprisingly all it took was an enquiry form, some sweet talking and voila, new COPRs with the correction and a new visa for my spouse. Extremely painless.

Take back: If you need to, go to New Delhi. They will entertain you in most cases except for the, "What happening with our application?" question. We heard (coz the lady speaks into a very loud microphone while she's addressing an applicant at her window) the lady sort out issues from passports not received in the mail to correction in the form etc.

Sad part was, you have to explain your case to the security guard (who sure as hell does not understand a word of what youre saying but still acts as the grail guardian) and his first question was, "have you been refused a visa?" which led us to think that of late, a lot of that is happening!

But, once again, congrats to all those with good news and best wishes to those waiting coz I sure as hell am not going through 100 odd pages.

Missed y'all. Tongue
a

hahahahaha it was hilarious ..YET very informative .....appreciate your effort and your narration is more than interesting than the piece of info you tried to convey to all of us.

 ...kudos !!!! :p

best wishes
