Is Birth Certificate mandatory for applying? Or can the applicant provide any other document e.g. SSC/HSC passing certificate??....Inquiring for a friend - ND will be the VO.
now days its not mandatory to submit birth certif instead of that u can use ssc/hsc certif which shows ur date of birth,bt it differs vo to vo b confirmed about ndbo what they accept |

My dear friend:
Here is what I do, maybe it will work for you too...
-Accept the fact that it could easily take another year for you to get your visa. Buffalo is drowning in backlog... I'm thinking Aug of 2012 for myself. Anything sooner and we party.
-Don't let the idea of the PR Visa consume your everyday. Fill your day with work and other activities. Keep busy.
-Develop a plan B, in case buffalo takes an eternity, like those poor folks who applied in 2007 and are still waiting.
-Don't check your Ecas everyday. How about once a week...
-Set sometime to read this board every few days and stop posting on this forum on a daily basis. Becasue if you come here everyday, you will feel good for your friends as their applications move ahead, but the irregularity of processing times among VOs is bound to get you more frustrated.
-Finally, write to Minister Kenney and complain about the discrimination some applicants are experiencing because of their particular VO. Be polite and express your ideas clearly, ask for his assistance... it takes away the powerless feeling you are experiencing and makes you think you have done something to help your case... even if it gets nowhere.
These measures are not perfect, but they do make things easier... at least a little bit for me.

Dear entemaria, I hear your pain. I don't remember who on the forum stated that these visa offices have bosses and that they really can't fall that far behind fro others. I think that we can see that buffalo is under a lot of pressure And that is why they are clossing for a week in June. I am trying to be as optimistic as possible and hope that the process will not take over a year. Of course I am in a long distance marriage and in a way my life is in pause until we settle together in Canada. Anyways I think the bets thing we can do Is support each others and at times just scream our frustration. Rod  Dear Rod I am also waiting for June 10. I think its a neutral news. They may be on some verification steps for your application. They would have let you know if they needed some documents, anyway hope for the best. But i like New Delhi Visa office reply to the inquiries, atleast they are relevant and to the point. I am from Buffalo VO and their replies are miles away from what you have asked and on top of that, they smell very rude....may be its the nature of buffaloes....lol |

Rod I hope to be that much optimistic but seeing the speed of buffalo till now, its very difficult. I still do not understand why there is a no better communication from buffalo. Other VOs replies are quicker and relevant to the inquiries but Buffalo never makes an attempt to clarify what we have asked. The instructions from minister say that post 26 june applicants have to be given priority and thats what is happening at other VOs. I don't understand why buffalo can't follow that, out of approx 12000 total applications, buffalo might have gotten around 600 (say 5%) and its not a big deal. They can process these post 26 june applications in the order while working to clear some of the back log. I feel that buffalo staff is not very well trained and is not very efficient, may be proper instructions are not provided them or they are just lazy...may be they need to hire some efficient immigrants...lol |
