Your education level doesn't necessarily have to be in the NOC you are applying under. You must have 1 years' continous employment in one of the 29 in demand occupations, and also up to 4 years' work experience in any A B or O band occupation, and your qualifications earn you points towards the 67 minimum required.

HOWEVER, each NOC code also sometimes lists minimum qualifications which are required, so please also check against your NOC code if there are any minimum qualifications specified.

Today I called CIC. The person who talked to me was extremely friendly. After confirming all details, she told me that she can confirm that they received my application on the 19th of July, but she said she could not see any reason why the CC has not been charged. she was putting me on hold again and again and it looked that she was trying to ask other department about my file, but no luck. This continued for almost 25 minutes. At the end she said that she is gonna send a message to the concerned department, and asked me if i could provide her any contact number. I asked her if it was ok to call my brother, who is in Canada, and she said absolutely!!!so she took my brothers phone number and said that some one is gonna give my brother a call once the status of my file is confirmed. and told me that if you/ your brother do not hear anything from them for 30 days, just give us a call and tell the agent that the last time they sent a message on the 25th of October......
my waiting game continues........

You should call them ...try to do it around 8 am ET....because after that there are long wait and queue..

Schedule 1 Background Declaration, and the Additional Information (the one where you have to list your family members) - as I recall it's only those 2 forms which require signatures, although its advised to also sign and date any explanatory letters you include.

Yes, these are the 2 forms that required signatures and dates. In addition to that we have signed the bottom of checklists, both of us, with dates(it's not mandatory - but i read 'the applications must be signed and dated somewhere and so dint want to take a chance)

But i want to let you know that as you have all ready gone through OP6 . You will find that they have all ready said that they can award points for distance education . If the university is run by proper law of that country & Duration of course ( Distance Mode) is equivalent to Fulltime mode. ( Example : 2 years for MBA Full TIME = 2 years MBA from DLP Mode ) .

So Bhaiyya .... please go through OP6 for me ...let me know your view after then.

Akhir  hamae hi anaa padaa ..... minimum for sure you will get 20 and max. 22. Most of the applicants are in this range only...... So I can calculate for you ...... 20 (Edu.) + 16 (IELTS) + 21 (Exp.) + 10 (Age) + 0 (Emp.) + 4 (Spouse) .... that comes to 71 ....so even if you remove / decrease spouse points ... you will still make it with 20 points in Education...... other factor is ..... you should score 16 in IELTS..... i m confused that what meant by usually..can i apply without it
moreover i did my ielts in mar 2010 and next mar 2011 it will be 1 year...it means it will be expired at that time...if i will apply in dec then can it work..i know at time of submission it will not expired but when i wil receive my aor it can be expire..i m from pakistan and many people here are just misguiding me taht it will expire...i have to take ielts gain..plz tell me can i apply in dec or nov then i wil dont have any need to take ielts...if i wil loose band i will reduce points

plz tell me that ielts is needed only at time of submissionof application not afterwards

i m confused that what meant by usually required because i have a B.sc in Biochemistry but i hhave worked for 4 years in food and beverage management.
secondly, i am sending my application tomorrow but i just got money into my bank statement last week. will this affect my application?
lastly, i am using a statement from my pension bank i.e my pension fund. will it be rejected.

Dear Iram1, don't worry

All conditions should be actual for the date you sign your documents (date of the submission). It means you can easily go with your actual IELTS. Don't worry about it!
