First of all, thx emad for your sweet congratulations and welcome to our thread here Smiley
Secondly, I will try to rephrase your words to make sure I understood right Smiley You have clearly mentioned that you have worked in saudi for the past 10 yrs till june 2010. However you have left saudi for good ( not returning back there ) and that when you left there, you did not have the final exit visa but an exit for re-entry visa which means its a vacation permit and this is because you were not sure that your employer or sponsor would allow you to go for your prepared marriage in time. Now answering your concerns, I have recieved my PER from CIO on the 6th of Jan. and I have recieved my 2nd AOR from cairo VO on the 25th of feb.  That is around a month and a half going to two. I am sure it is faster now coming to the latest application timelines. So if you recieved your PER on the 21st of april, exprect a letter from the embassy by the end of may to mid june or somewhere around. Coming to the Police clearance, as per the regulations you should be sending police clearances for every country you have lived in for more than 6 months. Your cover letter could be accepted or not. It is pending on the officer and on the clarity of your cover letter. I still believe you are able to get your Police clearance from saudi if you wanted to. Call the saudi embassy in cairo and ask them about the procedure and apply for it. There is another way to get your PC which is letting someone do it for you who is based in saudi but you will have to give this person a signed consent permitting him/her to do it on your behalf. You still have to ask the saudi embassy about this option because it may not apply for saudi as it applies for qatar where I brought my pc from. Adding your coming child isA to your application, you need to inform cairo VO about any update and this is one of them. You can do that when you recieve your 2nd AOR including your new file number. Make sure to tell them that your wife is pregnant in the 8th month as soon as you receive your AOR. Congratulations for your coming baby in advance ( isA ) Smiley

Regards and best of luck Wink
thank dr moori for ur kindly answer yes u catch all the story as u rephrase it i think when i apply for pcc from saudi i should submit the exit visa and u know as i told u that i have exit and re-entry visa which may be let them not issue pcc for me do u hear about anyone go for exit and re-entry and get pcc from saudi? if  i  try to apply now to see if they  issue for me or not and succeded to obtain such pcc i can submit to my visa office after getting 2nd aor before  my visa office asking it to save time? sorry i try to think in future and tired u  thank u very much

I called the same number and they told me that my address should be changed, since I made 2 attempts. They do not know anything about buffalo VO.

Well, this is just another ordinary day without Medical for me.

Goodluck everybody. Hope we all receive some good news next week.

Most welcomed Emad Smiley Unfortunately, I don't know any of such a similar situation. Even if the saudi embassy refused to issue a police clearance, you can still say that in an explainatory letter to cairo VO showing the lack of rights for those who work in the gulf specially with the sponsorship concept of holding employers passports and taking permission to leave the country from the sponsor eachtime the employer needs to travel. This is what is so called " Modern slavery "
Anyways, just be clear about everything you state in your letters to make your case an easy one Smiley

Thx & regards, Amr

Hello Everyone,

If we assume that this is not a bug, does anyone here know what his best approach to challenging this decision should be? If he has all the relevant supporting documents to challenge the decision, is there any standard format for challenging this decision by the visa office at this stage? Your varied responses will be appreciated.

Hi all ,

Seems like i'm in big trouble ....  My status now is "Decision Made "  It was RBVO till yesterday .  Sad Sad

Just praying that they have not really taken a decision in my case  Sad

the exact status is given below ..

" We received your application for permanent residence on October 21, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 14, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on May 10, 2011.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. "

could this be a bug in the ecas  by any chance ??

I can try to look into it - but as I recall there are 2 options:

1) Plea bargain with the visa officer - this basically involves sending a letter to the visa officer who reviewed your case, listing the reasons why you believe you were eligible and that their decision is incorrect. This is not really an official appeal but relies heavily on the visa officer's discretion to agree to re-look at the case

2) Formal appeal - I think there is some kind of formal appeal procedure, but I remember hearing it takes somewhere in the region of 12 months?

Will let you know if I find out anything more specific (I realise the above is a bit vague!)

Please note much of the information on the process relates to 2010/2011 process. A new process is coming out for FSWP in May 2013.

avi_15

Way to go my friend, good to hear they have your new address... it worked out better than your other plan... Wink

By the way, in how many different ways did you inform them of your new address? I need to do the same... Thanks avi_15.

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to check ecas status using spouse information? Or only the primary applicant can check?

Thanks,

Hello Seniors....

I would like to request you to amend spreadsheet as following.:-

Application received by VO:- 04/04/2011 and ecase status changed from eligibility review to RBVO on 08/04/11.........

Please amend the spreadsheet accordingly...I found ECAS STATUS updated date is wrong it should be 08/04/11 instead of 08/03/11
