http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/statistics/data-release/2010-Q2/index.aspThe data shown is not very good in terms of all waiting for post 26/6 news It shows that on 24 Aug 2010 CIC has 159,000 application in backlog waiting for decision (all FSW). When I compare this with March 31, 2009, looks like each quater end CIC has 150,000 FSW as backlog (new rules).

I just found out this morning when I contacted my bank that my DD was encashed last september 20, 2010. But of course I will save the celebration when we have our VISA already.

Hello guys i called my bank now and i find out that my CC was charged on 13 october and they got the amount so i think it is moving this week little bit
so i hope to hear more good news ( although i'm not really satisfied but it is a small relief that there is somthing happening on my application )

Hi! All
I`m so worried cause my BD is yet to be encashed,its supposed to expire in exactly two weeks.The Bank Draft is valid for 3 months.I`m really upset cause in case they don`t encash within the next two weeks I suppose my package will return since I don`t have the processing fee.They received my application on the 1st of September.Does anyone else have this problem? Please let me kknow your thoughts I `m really disheartened.
Best solution to your problem is take another BD for the same amount,attach a covering letter with self addressed envelop mention them return the old BD if it is not encashed. |

Certainly in July and probably partially in August the number of applications for post-June-26 would be vastly reduced, owing to having to be IELTS tests and gather all the documents, which prior to June 26 people did not have to do so all came kinda unexpectedly. They're probably around the 20,000 mark now, but ofc not all of those will be eligible. Wayne. |
