one member in the forum "JUNE APPLICANT 2010" called in CIO.

CIO confirmed this:
I called CIO for second and third time :

They told me that encashment means that they have started processing your app. 10 weaks after encashment they make decision and  you can expect your AOR .IT means 11th of nov for me. I asked about recent delays , they told it is due to high volume.

LOOK IN THE FORUM "JUNE APPLICANT 2010" page 88 to 90

It is not required by all visa-offices. If your visa office requires it, it will be in the visa-specific checklist as an appendix.

Well it would make sense to send AORs by email if the applicant specified an email address. Cheaper and faster than snail mail!

However my estimation for AORs is mid-October, I don't think we'll be seeing any for another 3 weeks, that's my gut feeling. I am happy to be proven wrong though! Smiley

... and is, rather annoyingly, not a computer fillable form so you have to fill the whole damn thing out by hand! One mistake and then start again. I filled out mine in one go (thankfully) but my wife took many attempts to get hers done right!

Wayne.

Dear Cappuccino,

Thanks for the quick reply,, so quick that I had to change my question here!!!
My VO is New Delhi, India. And I can not see this form anywhere in my VO-Specific checklist

Thanks again,,what a relief!! Huh

Not exactly Wayne...it may be encashed already...I'll never know untill I recieve AOR...Scotiabank-Cairo customer service told me that no way to know if BD is encashed or not...they don't have a system for that...I just have to wait.

Any one guys made his BD from any branch of Scotiabank worldwide ?

Dear Dr.Alex,
Have the same issue here.
I got it made from Indus Ind Bank (who have a tie-up with Royal Bank of Canada to issue Dollor Cheques).
I can only know till I get the AOR.
Till then,,well as Cappuccino says,"NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!"
Cheers!!

I am easy... will move the 'gut feeling' contest  Grin date to mid October then. this makes the expected average review period 75 days (e.g. my docs received 3 August 2010, so in mid-October they are 75 day 'grown', others earlier or later).

not much of saving to prior process of initial review other than the 120 day period being removed then?

Except all the evidence shows they didn't start on the post-June-26th applications until the end of August (hence early September card charges). Some people are having their card charged as little as 1 week after being received by CIC.

So realistically we should take it from the first "activity", not from the date the applications were first received, for a realistic timeline.

If the first people who got their card charged around 6th September get AORs for mid-October this is about 6 weeks from getting their card charged. People whose application was received end of August and into September are likely to have a shorter total processing time than those received in July, just because it seemed CIC didn't do anything with the applications until the end of August.

Hi Vicky!

Please just post here with the relevant information i.e:
- Your NOC code
- What date your application arrived at CIC
- Which method of payment you used (CC or BD)
- Date your payment was cashed (if it has been cashed yet)
- Whether or not you submitted your PCC with your application

And then myself, asaif or one of the other people with editing rights can add you to the spreadsheet.

Cheers,
Wayne.

CIC hasn't published any timeframes for post-June-26 applicants yet so nobody really knows yet for sure.
