You have a point Coffee. On the other hand, dealing with people is quite different from dealing with machines or numbers in that some understanding of their concerns and respect for their time must be shown. When you go to Canada you'll see how customers are treated and how promises are respected everywhere, despite the high workload. Nowadays I apply for admission to some universities and can notice the difference. Having an efficient and customer-friendly processing and tracking system is not rocket science. They just need to consider us customers that deserve better service quality, in this lucrative business where you pay around $1000/applicant for few hours of paperwork . And as said before, updating the website with some info useful for the applicants won't take more than 5 minutes, and definitely won't take more time and effort than the regular useless updates posted on the same website.
Right asaif & i add that those people (CIC & Canada in general) should have well managed & organized staff & work process since they are a developed country so they should enhance the immigration process by hiring more staff, use advanced tools or/and improve the techniques and as you said what we are suggesting is not rocket science (ex. update the cic website and send updating emails to the applicants). |

CIO certainly don't appear to be working chronologically as our friend's app was recv'd 26 July and BD has not been cashed. I am wondering if the really straightforward applications are being cashed first? For example, limited travel history, no previous visa refusals, high IELTS score, etc. Could those how have had their fees cashed comment on this idea? Cheers.
