so far no files was return due to no eligible, all because of short of information or wrong payment. do you guys think all application sent are eligible?

Not necessarily, basically (we think) that all applications who have had CC/BD charged have passed the completeness check regarding all forms correctly filled in and signed, all documents provided and correct fees provided.

There is then an eligibility review done at CIC prior to sending the application to Visa Office. This will determine if you have at least 67 points and the other factors since they don't want to waste Visa Office's time with applications that are clearly not eligible.

I imagine if there are any "borderline" cases they will probably send these to Visa Office for more thorough checks.

Once we get AORs and ECAS numbers we can get a much better idea of the process and timelines.

I understand that we have info on applicants on more than 3 forums in our tracker, but just too curious to know where that figure stands globally Shocked Shocked.. Should we consider it like a 20 : 80 ratio?

Thanks Positive.

Hi Indira.. If Maani1985's assumption (at Page 77 of this thread) is correct, then this forum accounts for much less than 1% of the total applications.  Amazing isn't it?

To add to that, it does not help that we are the first batch and it is likely also a learning experience for CIC too.

Congratulaions Temasek, for your BD being encashed on 16th Sept. Must be a great relief to you man.
Mine reached 5 days after yours, so maybe my BD may get encashed this week!

One more thing guys, how do we find out from the bank, if the BD is encashed or not?
My bank says they will take 'days' and will charge a lot of fee to let me just know that!!

Doesn't look like we've had much news today then guys?

Still, tomorrow is ECAS update day so maybe we'll start seeing some AORs this week? Smiley (wishful thinking).
At least once we have an ECAS number we have a little ray of light every Tuesday we can check!

Well, the eligibility review is likely to take longer than the completeness check + payment, so if it took 2 weeks for my payment to ring through I'd expect maybe 3 or 4 more weeks at least before I got an AOR.

CIC specify 45 to 90 days but I think that's for pre-June-26th, so hoping the new applications will be faster (certainly judging by the payments they do seem faster).

Hi - can I please ask where you got this information from? CIC still says 45 to 90 days and nobody else we know of who applied after June 26th has received an AOR?

The earliest CC/BD cashed was 7th September (asaif), so if it's 2 weeks he should be receiving AOR tomorrow! Wink  I personally suspect it'll take at least a month from cashing of funds, but would be very glad of getting AOR and ecas number in 2 weeks.

I just wish SOMEBODY would get an AOR and a file number so we can start working out how long it's like to take. Looking at current data it could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to 4 months!

Hey Guys,

I just read the OP 6 again. I found the part that I am quoting below has some trick on the words.

"7.2. Assessing applications against the Ministerial Instructions effective June 26, 2010

The CIO will assess the applicant's submission as-is and make a final determination of eligibility
under the MI. To be eligible for processing, the applicant must meet all the criteria described in the
MI. If the application is eligible for processing, the applicant will be informed. Once processing has
begun, the cost recovery fee is no longer refundable.
If the applicant's submission is determined to be ineligible for processing, the applicant will be
informed and will receive a refund."

Especially at the end of this quote, it says if the submission is ineligible for processing ,the applicant will be informed and will receive a refund. So I assume that even our CCs or DDs have been charged, we still will have the risk of being rejected. We will know we are OK or not only if CIO sends us a confirmation letter..

Let me know what you guys think about this issue.

Hi Gulshan.akbar,

Did you paid by CC or BD?. Your case is very similar to mine.

Paid by BD. What about your one????
