Wow, that's only 6 days before our applicatoin arrived!

Was going to check with bank at the end of the month if our banker's draft got cashed, but at this rate I might check at the end of next week!

just an update, NV received my documents Sept.8 by Glen. i mailed it Sept.1 from Manila.

I have read somewhere in this forum itself (comments from senior members) that AOR takes around 45-90 days after the CC/DD are encashed.

So all those whose CC/DDs are encashed will receive AOR sometime in Sept. But at least they are already safe and on a right track.

But those who have paid by DD are in dark, as there is no way they can find out if their DDs are encashed or not. So they can only wait for AOR.
And of course if their application is not sent back, they can feel a bit easy (and hopeful).

Do an one think that someone's application may be sent back for any reason but lost on it's way so that will not be recieved by him??!! 

What's the possibility for such thing?

 Specially that those,like me, who made DD will be so hard for them to know their position.

Still wondering why the AORs are taking so long?

I can understand why postal letters are likely to have a couple of weeks delay on them, but I would have thought it'd be faster and cheaper for CIC to send AORs by email (for those that provided email address).

Maybe after they've processed this "batch" of payments they will send a load out, so we'll maybe start to hear something in a few weeks.

They way it's going we'll be getting AOR's from Visa Office faster than AOR's from CIC!

Welcome to this thread (and the forum).  

First of all please do the following -

(1) Go to CHC web site cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp and download the following forms --
* Instruction Guide - IMM EG7000 (Read & understand carefully and note down the main / important points)
* Application for PR in Canada - IMM 0008 (Start filling this form)
* Schedule 1: Background/Declaration  - IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 1
* Schedule 3: Economic Classes - IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3
* Additional Family Information - IMM 5406
* Fee Payment Form – Federal Skilled Worker - IMM 5620
* Document Checklist (CIO) - IMM 5612
* Document Checklist (VO - Manila) - Document # E37025 (cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp)

(2) All the instructions on filling these forms are given in the 'Instruction Guide'.

(3) Along with this start collecting all the documents mentioned in the document checklist (both CIO & VO)
