Thanks a lot Satya

Its OK...please take your time....We are planning to land in May so have enough time on hands for research...your posts are indeed valuable

Have thought of finalizing on Toronto for now as we have heard that Vancouver is quite expensive & it would be a real hit on our savings....also my hubby has one or two friends who suggested Toronto....as far as apartments....we have been looking at gottarent.com and viewit.ca....will let you know through PMs as we proceed further

We have heard of Brampton, Mississauga, Scarborough and we are also looking for accommodation in these areas too....but we plan to take a decision around April after looking at the schools....please name a few good schools in & around these areas (although I know that all are good) but ones that you are confident about for grades 8 & 11
Now that it is getting closer to taking decisions......I am feeling very nervous & jittery.....Itna aansaan nahin hain apne saath apne bachon ki zindagi ukhad ke nayi basaana....darr lagta hain (khud ke liye nahin par unke liye)

Hi Nokia,
This is the situation that many will face when moving from one country to another. But, I can assure you that every thing will be smooth enough.
Toronto.. Its a good place to live in. You will see many Indians here. You will feel as if you are at home. Lot of Indian crowd here. Easy to settle down. Public transportation is also very good which is very key for any new immigrant. Let me know if you want any info for these condo's. You can certainly PM me.

Schools are very good in the areas you have mentioned above. That is what I found out so far. I have a 5 and half month old baby who doesnt go to school yet.

So, i didnt worry about this info so far. But, I am still trying to find out. There is one very good school near my house. Name of the school is "Floradale".. I think. Just type in google and you will find it. I will get you the complete list of schools very soon. I am sure this info is required to many others as well.

I can understand how it feels. Few years back when I came to US for the first time where I didnt know any one except one name, I felt the same way. But, Things will make you feel comfortable. I would say, First come here.. See if you can stay in a hotel for a week and then finalize your condo. It will be a smooth journey. I am sure about it. So, Just be relaxed. Finish off your pending items in India.
yaha bachon ki zindagi acha hoga. tho darne ki koi baath nahin.. We are all here to support each other.
Will get back to you soon with schools info.
Thanks,
satya.
