Smiley :)Today, I received passport with Visa Smiley Smiley

I took one year to complete the process BUT Timeline is complicated due to my personal reason.
Firsty, I have been in Netherlands for more than 6 months and Ministry of Justice in Netherlands generally doesn't issue police certificate without purpose, In this case the request letter from NDVO. So I was able to sent it initially, only on July 16, 2011.

Meantime I have traveled to Belgium for my PhD in August 2011 but the dependent visa for my wife took 5 and Half month (June to Nov) , so I requested NDVO to extend the passport submission deadline by 3 time. They are so kind and waited until Nov 17. I sent passports on 11_11_11 to New Delhi .

Finally 3rd of January 2012, they send passport with visa at kathmandu in my postal address. I requested to send directly in Belgium but NDVO says they only send INDIA, NEPAL and BHUTAN not other countries. My family member received it and sent it to me back to Belgium by DHL. Just few hours ago, The DHL delivered passport for me.

So it was long journey and due to my cause, It took few more months. I am planning to go canada by end of April and  trying to pursue some professors to work in their research group for at least 6 months.  planned to enter permanently in Canada by only Sept 2014. and the time line for entrance to Canada is extactly one year from medical checkup.

Now Relaxed, and Enjoying over this weekend.

Congrat, Rod. At least Buffalo is moving to some extent. As I understand you are in the US now, how about post June 26 applicants who are in Canada? Does Buffalo transfer their files to other offices in the US or keep processing them in Buffalo? Please tell what you think/
saratracy

Sorry I didn't mean to skip you. I have no idea if they transfer files from applicants in canada to other VO's :-/ I wouldn't see a problem if they do because regardless if its in Buffalo or any other VO in the US the requirements in the event of an interview should be the same

Rod

Folks,

A quick note - I spoke to a friend who got his PR approved in 2011. He applied in CEC category which implies he was in canada when he applied. His application was transferred to Seattle VO. So, It gives us some info that Applicants who are already in canada may see that their applications transferred to other VO's in US.

Thanks,
satya.

Shocked Ecas address reappeared.. All details remained the same as before... No mention of the file transfer  Undecided

Rod

I wouldnt worry because, E-CAS can deceive but not an e-mail from VO.

satya.

Hi Folks,

Address is back on E-CAS after 18 days, no changes at all, all information is same.

And the bad thing is I didn't even get an email about file transfer to LA, like some other BUFFALO members Sad

Let's see what happens, Let's hope for the best.

Hi  @  Buffalo VO Team,

A small update from my end: Till now my address never disappeared, but I found a new line added to my E-Cas:

Previously it was: We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on XXXXXXX (date). Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Today I saw: We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on XXXXXXX (date) to XXXXXXXXX (My Old Address). Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

I think this is because I tried to update my new address with the VO. I hope it got updated now (even though I never got confirmation that it got updated)

Dude,

Dont worry about addresses on E-cas.  Buffalo VO updates address to the file which wont reflect in E-cas and the worst part is they wont send any confirmation unless you send emails twice or thrice.

Thanks,
satya.
