Days are going on pretty slow and boring, what else can I say Yeh din he a say hay, may nay abhi apply nahi kiya aur meray din b buray hay. Apply karnay say pehlay itni tension hay, jab admission hoga aur phir visa kay process. OMG may tho pagal ho jao ga  |

Google for test samples and that is it! Get a book for IELTS with the CD. Go thru the material in 3 weeks and give the exam! Read the book carefully it has all the tips in it! Book your exam date as at times it gets pretty difficult to get a date of your choice! |

@ hime bro you must go for IELTS it's way too easy to score in ielts than in toefl i've taken both tests. you can get online sample tests. you can download data from piratebay.org focus on cambridge ielts book series 1 to 8 that stuff is really helpful u can get it on piratebay.org with no trouble. wish u all the best.

Everybody else give you details of IELTS, I will give you details of TOEFL so that you have better Idea of both.
TOEFL is a lengthy test. Like IELTS it has 4 sections.
Section 1: Reading
The reading section of TOEFL consist of either 3 or 5 reading passages. If your test has 3 passages then it would have a time of 60 mins and if your reading section consist of 5 passages then the total time for this section would be 100 mins. The passages are long and at the end of each passage you have to answer like 11-12 question.
Section 2: Listening
This section would have either 2 or 3 parts. If you get 3 reading passages then you would get 3 parts of listening section. If you get 5 reading passages then you would get 2 parts of listening section. For each part you will have answering time of 10 minutes.
Each part has 1 conversation and 2 lecture.
Break of 10 minutes
Section 3: Speaking
This section consists of 6 tasks. 2 tasks are about independent speaking in which you are given a topic and you speak on it. The other 4 tasks are integrated speak in which you listen a converstaion and then speak on it whether you agree of disagree with the conversation.
This is the shortest section.
Section 4: Writing
It has 2 task, i.e. independent writing task (30 minutes) and integrated writing task (20 minutes). In independent writing task you are given a topic and you write on it. Integrated writing task you first read a passage and then you listen a lecture or conversation on the same. You then answer a question regarding.
Drawback:
TOEFL is very lengthy as compared to IELTS. It takes 3.5 to 4 hours to complete your test.
As you asked about IELTS vs TOEFL:
I would say go for IELTS, not because it is short or easy or stuff like that but because it is widely accepted. Canada embassy also prefer IELTS. Australia and UK also accept IELTS. So go for it.
