Today I have received an email from Sydney office recommending my file for further processing to New Delhi visa office. The email is dated 22/06/2009, I have 120 days from this date to submit my file. Fingers crossed and hurrying to collect police certificates and some other documents before the full application goes to New Delhi. Thank you.

Unfortunatly, i do not see that through the information stated at their website : it says that they take up to 20 weeks (5 months) just to send you AOR with your new file number !!!!!!!!!!, it appears that Buffalo is doing worst than other visa offices in respect to processing time under the new rules. This is the link to see their processing time , (Date Modified: 2009-06-10 ) : http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/processing_times-delais_traitement.aspx?lang=eng

One option would be to state in your cover letter addressed to your visa office which you can send with full application package that CIO got your postal code wrong. You may or may not want to notify Sydney CIO about the wrong postal code and tell them that you corrected this when you submitted your applic to your visa office.

just take a copy of your certified check or any thing related contains the check information to the issuing bank and tell the teller that you want to track your check to know whether it has been encashed by the beneficiary or not yet, they will check in their system and tell you if it is encashed or still outstanding.

Hello chsurti Thanks for the response, yes I am thinking of using notarized copies of my transcripts. Unfortunately there is no one in Pune who can help me on this.
Abt PCC - It took 2weeks to get from FBI, 3 days from current State(Oregon), 1 week from NH, just sent to NJ(should be getting by 10th july, I have written a letter to them and mentioned the reason and date by which I need), 2 weeks from IL.
For India , I got it from my local verification cell (DCP/CBI office), I did not apply from Indian consulate (i heard it takes @ 45 days and you have to send your passport, in my case SFO is the Indian consulate).
For your IELTS, I would say don;t take chance, you will not like to see any issues just becoz of not giving this exam. YOu can not sure how the IO/VO will look at your english language capabilities without IELTS. I have my IELTS exam tomorrow.
Good Luck,
