Hi Friends,
I applied under 0631 in Novemebr 2010.
I have recieved rejection note based upon low score in IELTS (6), landing me one point short (66).
Do I have the option to apeal and re do my IELTS or I have lost my fees as well the chance.

Do u mean nov 2010? Anyways, u can't appeal as CIO clearly pointed out, u are not eligible...this is how to fix it: improve on your IELTS and apply again. While u r at it, keep an eye on the cap. As u r ineligible, u will receive a refund... Good luck...Mandie

Hi Mandiebraxton,
Thanks for prompt guidelines.
I received following;
I have now completed the assessment of your application for a permanent resident visa as a skilled worker. I have determined that you do not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.
They have also not mentioned any thing about refund of payment, but have clearly scored for all and mentioning 6 in English is short.
Further, CIO Sydney claim that they have send intial reply in June 2011 but I never recieved, the first one is recieved yesterday Sep 30, 2011.
Do I wait for the payment? meanwhile go for IELTS?

To re apply In an IELTS is the best option accourding to me

I calculated 67 but they scored 66.
My IELTS score was 5.5.

i am very sorry for your refusal could you please give us your ielts detailed score like how much in L  R W S Overall band 5.5 sorry for that dear but you can apply again with impoved score.

Thanks but do i need to re submit my CIO fees? Any idea? or can I go for appeal?

please give your ielts Band Score not point what was your score in four modules = Listening Reading Writing Speaking.

then i will tell you how much your points should be.

if you score is more and points less then you can go for apeal otherwise no.

Improve IELTS. With total score of 6 out of 16 you dont stand a good chance of making it through.
Improve on IELTS and apply as soon as possible.
