Thanks a million Sicilian!! N yeah sharru is next:)))

Congrats Sim24!! Did you receive your PPR by postal mail or email?
Other than AOR, I haven't received any communication form CIC.
I am not sure if my file is in LA or Detroit or with the rest of pile in Ottawa.
Has anyone recently emailed asking for status? My 15months will end on 7th July..

Hi bb_imm

I am a QSW and my time line is very similar to yours. They received my file on 28th April, 2011 and after Nov 2011 nothing has been added till now to the usual 2 lines on ECAS. I have sent my GCMS notes today and it should tell me exactly where is the application process. also, I had sent an email to buffalo consulate and ottawa after I heard about buffalo consulate getting shut down and all I got in reply was the usual 'Ctrl C + Ctrl V' reply.

All the best to you too!

Regards

Hi Needppr,

Althought I put down Dec 2014 on my application, my new WP is going to expire on Jun 2014, which is around 2 year from the day they proccessed my application. I think it doesnt really matter which date you are going to put down, as long as it is within the 2 year time frame from the day you submit your form. So, for example, if u submit it this coming week, just put down July 2014.

What is the status of ur ECAS now? have u heard anything from the Ottawa VO regarding the PR application?

Hi Needppr,

..........
I think it doesnt really matter which date you are going to put down, ......

It would be enough now and 1 year
Because, I think we we do not need two more years.

Something else that fits this topic..
A WP, it is only available for a maximum of 4 years.
CIC has changed the rule, at was in 2011.
I do not know exactly what month  this rules wars adopted

I read it. You will get ppr before the expire date of your new work permit for sure, so even if one year, still good enough...no worry, just wait for ppr Smiley
