I don't think its Ottawa causing the delay. It's Detroit and rest of the visa offices who are going to issue PPR. Ottawa just does security checks and forwards it on to the visa offices.

I don't think so, not with the electronic file system. It used to when everything was paper based as they had to dig into the files.

Hey, I saw some people's processing time, some of them have not heard anything for years since medical received.
How it happened?
some of them get ppr soon (1-2 months), and some of them take more than 1 year..
why? you have any idea?

That Breaks my heart.. . Application reached Buffalo on Apr, 2012 Transferred to Ottawa with file no. and Medical request May,2012 Medical sent in June, 2012 Passport request in July, 2012 Passport Received today. C! E! C! ......  |

It looks like they have a way too much staff working on the CEC. We are supposed to go through the same process on Federal level, how can it be that fast? This totally doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, what can we do but wait? Fingers crossed!
