Hi guys... Just want to ask something. I made a mistake on the application outside Canada form. I'm actually applying for a temporary work permit but I have put "open work permit" on the type of permit applying for part. Would it affect my application. Thank you.

Fax a letter indicating the mistake you made in filling out the form. Explain that WP (TWP) was not among the choices (although, "other" was the catch all category) so you have erroneously selected OWP. Worth saving the sent application instead of an outright refusal because of "not being qualified" for the OWP.

But I have passed all the documents needed for a TWP such as the positive LMO and employment contract..

@ Job_seeker I'm applying from the Philippines.. I've already sent an email to CIC Makati but just to be sure I'll fax a letter tomorrow as well. Is this their official fax 6328431094 and/or 6328431096? Thank you

Oh. Maybe that's why you haven't received any result yet from CIC. Try to aslo do what job_seeker has advised me. Fax a letter to CIC stating the mistake that you've done. It's my first time that's why I got confused with the choices. I think filling the forms manually is better than electronically.
