Application in limbo at Cairo

I'm in the same boat as Sheila La... Still no news on my end too but I do look at this post every day in the hopes to see some good news from somebody who applied at the Cairo Embassy

But on the happy side... I just bought my plane tickets to go to Egypt next month 

I wonder if I should visit the Canadian embassy when i am up there

i wanted to share some thoughts ,,, in my e -case it said .. application recieved on SAME DAY MY WIFE SENT THE WHOLE APPLICATION TO CIC-M  ( october 10th is the day we sent all package to cic &november 4th we got first approval letter and application was sent to cairo )

so it should  reach in cairo ummm for example 2 monthes after november 4th ,,,it should be stated this way but it was stated as it was recived on october 6th.....

just confused ,,is it a mistake from them or is it normal ,,,???

My ecas says application received January 21.  I am assuming this is the date Cairo received the file as sponsorship was approved January 14.  So that is 7 days to get to Cairo.

well  you know theres 2 steps of processing

1-first approval in cic-m
2- permanent residence app in cairo

u say u got first approval on jan 14th and 7 days later it said permanent residence application recievd in cairo ??

well my case says ,,, permenant residence application recived in cairo on october 10th  and thats the date we start apply in cic-m

we got approval novmber 4th ,,,

There are 2 columns, one for the sponsor and one for the applicant.  Mine under sponsor says "decision made".  Under applicant, it say "applicaton received".  If I select the application received link, it further tells me the date they received the application.  It appears this should be the date the visa office received the file, not Mississauga.  It almost sounds like yours is backwards.

i tell u exactlly my case..

   on this day (10th october) they recived our application in Mississuague ( all the package for PR  and sponsorship)

i know it shoulb be the date they recive PR application in cairo and this date can not be the same date we put our application in Mississauge lolol

so i say it might be just a mistake from them or they consider both applications for sponsorship and PR as one package    do u get me ??

so what do u think .,.. do i need to care about it or the main thing my application is recived already

fox, I think maybe they have just entered the date incorrectly.  I think you should be okay as you know they have received your file.  I don't think it should be a problem.

I'm sponsored by my husband in Canada, he just got a letter yesterday that he is eligible to sponsor, and the file was sent to the visa office in cairo, but there was no file number in the letter, how can i check it at ecas?? there was only his client -ID and Kit number!!

yes u can use the client ID to log into e case application statue  ad also  u can use the Reciept number this rciept which u paid the fees by it
