Application for caregiver to seattle

Hello,
I'm in Edmonton as a foreign worker, I applied for caregiver to canadian embassy in seattle. They requested an interview, I was able to get a visa to US but my re-entry visa to canada is already expired.
Can I go back to canada after the interview?
