Application 2011 delivered 1 day late :(

 Dear friends,
To make a long story short, I sent our application to the CIO via courier on June 13th. Then, the cap for our NOC - 3112 - had not been reached, standing at 968. The documents should have arrived until yesterday, June 16th. Alas, they did not arrive on time and the cap was reached. To make things even happier, the courier delivered the documents today even though we asked them not to.

The question now is: what happens to my application?

So bad what happened. Such a bad luck!
Now the only thing you can do is wait. The CIC will open your file in a couple of days and will see that your cap was reached. They will send you back all your documents, but it will take sometime. Maybe 1-2 months... just prepare yourself in case the noc will be in the new list to apply asap (it will probably be in the list). Prepare e.g any extra documents or whatever else you think will be needed and make your application strong, so when they send you back the app you will be ready to send it again immediately.

Thank you so much! I never thought I'd feel so sad after seen that the CIO received my application:(
But it's a great relief to know that the documents will be returned.

If you can arrange for the original documents like IELTS report and the experience letter, you may not need to wait for the application return instead apply as soon as the NOC reopens in July.

It's an idea to play with indeed... What about the police certificates? It is recommended to send them too but not crucial. Not sending them in application v2.0 would weaken it in comparison to the previous unabridged version - or not?

Not really since it is not requiered at CIO stage (unless rules change in July). You can send them later to the Visa Office. But start asking for new ones. It wont harm

My application was also ready ,was about to despatch tomorrow that i came to know that CAP has reached for NOC 3112.lets see what happens in july.........what do u say will this cateogery will exist or??

It will appear on the next list, for sure!

My idea is to ask the CIO to send the documents back via a courier, because of Canada post's strike.
I think it is a good idea. They can charge my cc, the number is in the application. Does anybody have a telephone or fax contact number in the CIO?
