i jus wanna know the reason why IMG's going to canada and also canadian citizens n PR'S go to US for doing residency? Is it difficult to get residency in canada or cos of better opp. n more money in US? please give ur opinion. Jus want discussion on it. thnx.

may be cuz of exposure, also recidency and fellowship from US is more recognize then from anyother country.. and yes money is also a reason too, i heard lots of canadian citizen doing recidency in US, also going for fellowship programs...

I need help with this information please.  Could the persons who already have their permanent residence and applied under NOC 3111   "physician specialist"  tell me how many points you received for education as a Physician Specialist ?  Please only people who have already received their residency , I need to be 100% certain.   Thank you very much .

Though I havent received my PR but jus finished with my medicals. I am a specialist with 3 yrs of exp after residency. We r eligible for full marks i.e. 25 for education. criteria for 25 marks is more than 17 yrs of education. (12years till 12th+ 4 1/2 years of MBBS+ 3 years of MD)It comes out to be more than 17. thats why i claimed for 25 marks. I applied thru consultant. he also calculated the same. There r more people on this forum who r specialists. One is sharma77 or drsharma77. He has got visa stamped on his passport. U can search and PM him and ask him to confirm.

Hi aamir
In my opinion it is sufficient. Jus note that it shud b on th official letter head or there shud b stamp on it (of the undersigned authority). All the best!!
Want to add here that we have this thread already to discuss our NOC's problems and issues then y there's need of another one?

Hi dr aamir , I fully agree with doc 28 regarding ex letter. I m appearing I'm mccee on 21 jan. Pray for me. Regarding books. Tn is atleast 5 times bigger and 6 timesore difficult than kaplan. So if kaplan is enough we should go for it but for Q1 Q2 TN is must. So it is a difficult decision to make. I m doing  a mixture of both.  Doc

Hi Hamid
Experience letters generally donot mention JD's in our scenario. So don worry. If possible take reference letters frm colleagues/seniors mentioning aba the JD;s required by CHC. I think that will b sufficient . I ve done that only. Took reference letters frm colleagues n seniors. But these shud be on official letter head or bears a stamp of the undersigned. They do consider it. All the best!!
