hi friends, i have applied from oman under noc 1111.
my timeline is:appln to cio on 10 sep and aor from nova scotia on 4 nov(yesterday).
can someone clarify some doubts regarding full doc to be submitted to london-visa office-
1. will high school birth certificate surfice, i do not have government birth certificate?
2. do i have to submit CA and ICWAI transcripts or only B.Com will do.
3. do i have to submit my wifes work experience letters also as this is not mentioned in london requirements but its there in new delhi,
can u guys please guide me.

1. Birth certificate you can get from embassy.
2. It is better to submit all the transcripts.
3. Submitting wife's experience certificate may give additional weightage to your case.

Good luck

thank you both for the prompt response. babutv2000- had you submitted transcripts for ca and icwa? the reason i am asking is because i dont have intermediate marksheet with me to send to new delhi/ kokata so i dont know what to do. i only have my pass certificates and final marksheets with me. and maybe going to india will not be possible. so i just want to know what other CAs/CWAs are doing.

Hello r.roy, i did submit transcripts for intermediate and final for both ca and icwa along with pass certificates. However I do not think they are mandatory. Reason being what we are trying to prove is number of years of study to get points under education. Hence if you attach certificates without transcripts also should be adequate. Any case they will ask you for additional documents if they really need. I doubt.

Another thing for those applying for certificate of good standing from icwa or ca, ensure your annual subscriptions are upto date.

CA institute has a publication titled "Business Opportunties in Canada" especially for chartered accountants from India. I have ordered one.

thank you very much for your help babutv2000. i called up both the institutes they were very helpful. hopefully i will receive the transcripts soon. only i found out that for icwai-kolkata the phone no. was not working so if anyone faces same problem you can call up at 0091-33-22521031/34/35 and talk to mr. arunava ganguly(deputy director of exam).

also ca institute does not specify postage charges so i added rs.500 in dd. i forgot to clarify this over the phone. if anyone knows whats overseas postage from new-delhi please tell me.

I will not know as I did not ask for CAIPS on my file. However in my self assessment sheet which was part of my full set of documentation sent to CIC, I claimed 22 points for education.

They consider only the completed degree/diplomas/professional certificate.  If you are CA (Inter) with B.com you may get 20 points for education and regarding articleship, it is on the discretion of IO. But please double check with other members as well.

Its interesting to note that some ppl have said on the thread that gaining Internal Audit qualification will help in getting jobs in Canada. Now this is confusing me - are Internal Auditors in demand in canada and if yes - why is there no NOC for that ? or do they fall under auditors NOC  ?

Hello everyone,

Thanks for starting this thread. I have done my regular b.com and currently doing MBA in UK. I had also applied for Canadian PR and have sent the full documents to New delhi on 28th September. I have international work experience in banking & finance of over 9 years.

If anyone can suggest, what are my chances of getting good jobs in canada or do I need to do any further education.

Thanks
Abhay
