Hello everybody,

i went to CHC today to hand over two additional  PCCs ( i voluntarily   submitted those pccs as earlier ones were more than two years old ) , then i asked , is there any thing missing in my file , the usual answer was there " pending review by the  case officer , will inform ".
i don't know my file is on the queue or not , it looks like a long wait ahead again !  it's been an agonizing & really frustrating one .

Hi,
I have even applied under FSW programme in 2008 Feb, and faced medicals March 2012, It is good to c a forum of Sri lankan applicants. Though I applied through a consultant it took almost 4 years to face medicals.Any idea of the time taken for back ground check and to request for passports?

It is pure luck I know one got it with in month from medical date.

I am compleating nealy 6 months.Membet sttn waiting 7+ months for PPR

it seems applicant apply for land at Ontario are the waiting croud

 Thanks for the reply, actually there was a delay in my pcc and I handed over it on 20th April, but my ecas stated last week onwards' Medical results have been received'. And i applied to Toronto, but it is also in  the region of Ontario.no idea when i will get the request to submit the passports. Waited for four years ...... and waiting still.....

Welcome to the Colombo forum, your case is similar to mine, i applied on feb 2008
Did the meds on 20 th march 2012 , and still waiting , when i got the medicals & rest i was so excited and started planning every thing, but now i have lost that enthusiasm !
Any way i try  to keep my spirit up , by   changing the topic of Canada  for the time being.

Hi Bundoora,
 Have u checked ur ecas? what does it say?, Yeah even for me it was the same ,but now everyone is giving me hopes saying that visa will be issued very soon... but no idea everyday I check my ecas bt no new hope. And what I heard was better to migrate before august otherwise climatic changes will affect us and it will hard to adjust ourselves.( I have two kids). Did u apply through an immigration consult? They are a crap, no help at all.
Anyway hope for the best.

I neither hired nor seek any assistance from so called consultants, did every thing by my  self, Only lately I came across this awesome blog , thanks to those who contributed immensely , I gained in-depth , invaluable information and knowledge about  the whole process.
Talking about the PR Visa , as I said earlier , we have no control over this what so ever , on my part I have submitted more than what they asked for , it's a nail biting waiting game now.
By the way I too have 2 kids.
