Good News. please check your the date of your letter. My letter had the date as 26th Jan 2011, but I got the mail on the same day as yours.
Had a 50 day delay in my mail from the date that they have posted.

Dear All,

I was in "inprocess" since 1st June 2010. Last week i received medicals.I think i have to submit the report of the medical within 60 days. (in fact doctor has to send it to singapore i learned, the fee is around 25,000-30,000 )i will update once i get the medicals .Since i applied through a immigation consultant V.O directly contact them

If anybody need any information regarding what has happen so far, i would be able to answer

I am a computer systems manager. This is what my status in ECAS.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 14, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 9, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
We transferred your application to the Colombo office on February 19, 2010. The Colombo office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on April 1, 2010.

So far I have not received any communication yet. Since May 2010 I have been working out side sri lanka. Recently I filed new position.
Is there any other computer systems people waiting in this forum?

Its however depends on the situation. I did a self application and CIU rejected it. Same application was re applied through a agent he just reworded the letters and it was accepted. What ever happens afterwards in the hands of visa officers and your luck. I know some got their applications processed faster. However most them had their family members residing in canada. I think that makes a big difference.

I'm a doc too and waiting for 15 months since in process.dunno rejected or not due to any mishap. applied through an agent, later removed him. its a waste of moneyy and time. just do it yourself. i regret applying through an agent.

Hey everyone!!!
We are also applied though CHC in Colombo. The status is:
We received your application for permanent residence on December 22, 2009.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Colombo office. They are pending review.
 
We transferred your application to the Colombo office on April 14, 2010. The Colombo office may contact you.
 
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 2, 2010.

We recently contacted CHC in Colombo and requested to changed our mailing address, but received the answer that they can't track our file ;-(((....We been waiting for response for mo then 2 weeks now. At the mean while we sent email to the main office in Sydney asked them to help us to find our file....So far no news ;-(
And think Colombo office is very irresponsible and slow. They even did not bother to reply again after we sent another email with more details in it. I have no idea what will happened next!!!!

I also check the status of my file. What they mentioned was they have the file and if they require any more documents they will contact me. They also gave me different file number.

I have no idea what are they up to, but only one thing bothering me,in my case,if they will require any additional documents where they going to send request to old mailing address or they will have enough brain to send email?

I think its best to go there in person to check the status at the visa office in colombo 3.

Maybe it will be easier for person in Colombo, but for me, we are in Bangalore ( India) what is left is just a hope ;-))))
