ur insights pls,, what is ECU -- Elimination care unit.... Economic commerce unit.... As the Medicals are always requested by the ECU. So what is this unit  ? Once file is through, Does that mean that file can't go to Backgrounds and Security checks nw ? Its contradictory in other threads too. pls reply as info cud be helpful to others too rgds.... Hi Princeroi22, I read a post before where a member mentioned ECU being Economic Class Unit ( presuming we are FSW Economic class )... A file once through BG & Security Checks is final. But any indications or doubts regarding a file can reopen checks...Hope other members can throw some light... |

Electronic Commerce Unit is for CBSA.
W.r.t. CIC, ECU = Economic Class Unit.
"The Economic Class Unit (ECU) processes skilled workers and business category applications. Since the introduction of IRPA in January 2002, the number of economic class applications in the skilled worker category has been around 2600 per year. The Unit has been working hard to re-assess the cases files & reduce the large inventory of pre-IRPA cases". Usually some files r sent to the ECU randomly. They also assess 'Economic Fugitive' scenarios.
Medical Status 'A' signifies Assessed & finalized. Code being '0' means that it hasn't been entered yet, an admin issue usually.

The only thing I know is that the causative agent which causes tuberculosis was discovered by Robert Koch and etiology means "the origin" in Greek.....Hence the name Koch's etiology......I don't know much than this, but I was a science student and very good at biology  thanks Jaggy. nice explaination. |
