Hi Guys Nice to have this thread !  I sent my application on December 17 to Sydney and CIC received it on December 22, But why CIC website does not update the number of received application under PhD Cap  ? That is weird!!!! |

IMO, inrush of applications is the reason for the application count stall.

I just check the spreadsheet for July applicants, there are some guys over there which sent their application on october 31, 2011 and CIC just charged their CC yesterday, this means CIC now is checking the applications on late October and hopefully they will start to work on november applications immediately!

Just saw some applicant on November 8 got their PER email, any news from our Novemberian applicants??
I applied on November 23rd, so it's too early for me to expect anything. Also, I'm kinda skeptical about the fixed number of PhD applicants that the CIC is showing. With all do respect to snow_walker I think you are a bit optimistic. I myself believe that they are putting us on hold for awhile. On the other, you might be right and the cap could increase suddenly. Just like it happened before 0, 7, 24. After all, who knows what's going to happen? Cheers, |

As we all know MASOUD2011 today hit the 70 days barrier. All eyes on you, did they cache your BD/MO ? Not yet and it sounds weird as it used to be done in a couple of weeks for skilled worker program.
There could a possibility that they charge us when the file number is issued. Any other thought?

I used Canada post money order, and I was able to track it. If you used Canada Post money order, call 1-800-563-0444 and esquire about the money order status. I hope that was helpful. |

Thanks ejamal! I was not aware that I could track the status of a money order. I just called CIBC, but they said that I will have to go to my branch to get the status. They don't provide that information over the phone. |
