I have a suggestion regarding our spreadsheet. I think it is better to change the color for those who have heard something from Ottawa from green to something else. Because they are actually one step after PER. We know their documents are received by Visa Office and reviewed. I think this helps getting a better picture of what is really happening. Just a suggestion though.

This could be true but I believe that both of them have submitted proof of funds from a Canadian Bank. May be I'm wrong but we have five Iranians on the excel sheet sharing their information with us. If another one of them got the same request then your interpretation is more likely to be correct, and the other Iranians should be prepared for a similar request.
proof of funds only from a Canadian Bank. It may very well be the case.

Hi anyone in charge of the tracker,
I want to correct some minor mistake. I actually sent my application on Feb.17 not Feb.27.
Thanks!
You can send an email to CIO too. I had a mistake. I sent an email to CIO and they wanted me to send the updated form to them. Here is the email: FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca

Thanks! But that mistake relates to what they wrote in the tracker not my form.

thanks asbereth for helping with the spreadsheet Hi TyrusX, I just noticed that those who got their MR quickly have just included their TA/RA experience. But a lot of others may include overseas work experience. How will that delay the arrival of MR? How will the visa center verify our work experience?

Moonbow2010, I kinda have a sense those who rely on working experience (overseas) would find their app slightly delayed in the process, simply because it may take a longer time for CIC to confirm them.

You are right. I just compared some guys and found out that it will take roughly one more week for those with other work experience to get PER. However, most guys have other work experience before doing PhD. Let's hope that CPP won't take so long to verify them and issue MR.

Hello everyone, I still think that "Since App Reached CIO" column is obsolete data. We know for a fact that at the begining they were simply not processing the PhD stream applications waiting for something (either additional resources, more clear operational instructions, whatever). Therefore that data tells us very little. Could the powers that be in charge of the tracker add one more column - days "Since PER Issued"? This will be very, very helpful data as this seems to be the BFD for the further processing of our applications. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?

Should we treat it as some sort of 2nd AOR then? Since it is indeed some sort of acknowledgement for receipt, and it tells you that Ottawa has received and started processing your file. Could the powers that be in charge of the tracker add one more column - days "Since PER Issued"? This will be very, very helpful data as this seems to be the BFD for the further processing of our applications. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese? Yeah, this might be a good idea. We should then be able to tell if BFD really is based on when PER was issued. I just noticed that those who got their MR quickly have just included their TA/RA experience.
But a lot of others may include overseas work experience. How will that delay the arrival of MR? MR? There have only been two people so far that have gotten their MR. Did you mean PER? Some applicants with outside work experience too were getting issued PER pretty fast lately. If anything, during the early days, people with just TA/RA applicants used to wait a little longer to get PER, some even got rejected for not having enough points (some appealed and got their NER overturned), though lately, this too has been fixed due to the different interpretation by the officers of the 5 adaptability points.

By MR, I mean medical request. I am just thinking if it will take longer for the Ottawa office to check outside work experience and issue medical requests, since they need to contact with offices overseas.

Let's wait a bit. After we have 10 people with MD directly, we make the changes, if snow_walker agrees.

if 2nd AOR is not there anymore, we can put that instead. But I would agree with TyrusX to wait probably a few days.

I modified the spreadsheet already, sorry Anyway, regarding 2nd AOR, it does look like that the CPP-Ottawa still does issue an AOR. One of my friends applied through CEC (application received by Feb 20), and he received an AOR from Ottawa yesterday (he never received anything from Nova Scotia, so it was a long wait, more than three months, to hear anything back from them), though things could be different with FSW (hopefully we'll go straight to medicals like ejamal and jessiezz rather than 2nd AOR). EDIT: I noticed from ejamal's medical request that the email subject contains 'file number'. Was this the same as application number? Or did they assign you a new number? Thanks, man, just curious
