I tried this earlier, they won't accept soft copy of PER. They told that the matter of the letter is enough, but need the hard copy, which we all do not have.

Previously, we can apply OHIP with the medical request letter.

But now if the Ottawa sends soft copy of MR again, we are still not eligible Roll Eyes

Congrats to Ejmal!

Well, I had provided a letter from the bank with all required information about the name, a/c number, bank info, balance, etc.

Both of us (my wife and I) have monthly income, but the thing is we have never had the required amount ($14,000) in our account after submitting the application.

Now I have 60 days to provide them with the bank statement.

Do you guys suggest to deposit the required amount and wait at least for a month and then send the statement? Otherwise they will realize that there has been a recent activity in the account!

Based on the email I have received, they want me to proof two things:

Please provide evidence of funds which are completely available, transferrable and unencumbered by debt or other obligations.  Evidence of account activity for the past six months must also be submitted. This must be received at this office by: 07/27/2012

1. Evidene of funds available and transferebale.
2. Six month account activity.

This doesn't necessarily mean that i must have had the whole amount in the past 6 month. Any thought?

Hi MASOUD, it is just my personal experience from preparing my study permit application.

It may not be wise to deposit in a lump sum. You can do it twice this month and next month.

Plus, you 'd better provide an self-explanation letter supporting your resource of funds, such as from your salary or your parents' savings.

Remember to provide the relevant evidence, like your contract of employment or your parents' statement of bequest.

Does this help you? Anybody else got some ideas?

How much did you present? They may be worrying that you have in fact loaned some money and they want to guarantee that you
are actually receiving a salary or something.  I don't think you need to have all that money all the time in your account, but things like
receiving money from person A and then returning it soon in sequence will grab their attention. Provide all the support you can, but don't worry about not having all that money all the time. May be important to provide prove that you both are working as well, therefore have means to survive.

Thanks Guys.

I think it was $14,000.

We have been in Canada for 3 years. As Tyrus said, they probably want to make sure we have been getting salaries.

Anyways, I will deposit some fund in May and June and will send them the bank statement, contracts, pay slips, employment letter, etc.

Hopefully the next step will be medical request!

We have a formal bank certificate.

I was wondering whether the certificate has information for the past 6 months. In my case, I have a formal bank statement, but it has only information about the balance amount.

The certificate does not have information for the past 6 months. You may include your bank statements within the past months to prove your fund sufficiency.
