I'm wondering if we should probably start ordering our CAIPS forms, just to have rough idea of the timeline for the BF'D. Is anybody aware if we need to get our AOR's first before ordering CAIPS? I'm starting to get worry now as to whether my corrected forms have safely reached Buffalo, since I sent it based on the application number rather than the file number  Sad

Guys! IT IS TO EARLY. Be patient. I still believe we should get an AOR in at most 4 for weeks, I'm just prepared to take much longer.

Here is a faster way to order CAIPS - http://www.caipsnotes.com/ . I am not sure, though, how much use this will be before we actually get AORs.

GeoCanadian, mine got returned simply because my letter from the Faculty of Grad Studies did not state have the statement "in good standing". At that time when I asked for the letter told them my requirements, FGS said it was not something that they are familiar with and the asked me to substantiate it with transcript that had the words "good standing".

Unfortunately CIC returned it because "good standing" had to be in the FGS letter. I was really pissed and showed them my rejection letter for them so they can see it for themselves. Now they are ok to include it. Oh well, I'm hoping to get the letter soonest so that my app be send off soon.

websphereguy, I'm sorry that your application got returned. Just send it back to them as soon as you get them back. As per our experience, applicants that initially had their applications returned received their PER really fast when they resent their applications (could be because the CIO had already been familiar with the application already). Regarding the 'good academic standing', it did seem to me that it was not something that most schools would put on the letter by default. I had to specifically ask for it the first time I requested the letter (kind of half-pushing it). Anyway, when did you get your application back?

You can track it from Canada Post website if u send by ExpressPost. Otherwise, u have to wait till CIC update ur ECAS, but have to wait for some more days. You can check ECAS using ur UCI (client ID) which can be seen on ur study permit.

Wishing u Good luck  Smiley

Hi guys.
I received my Police Certificate recently. Now shall I send it to Buffalo Visa office now? (I had PER already). Or I should simply wait for AOR?

Thanks for your any suggestion.

Hi ashbereth, I got the letter today on the 11th Apr. However its not just the letter, its my whole application with all the attached supporting documents as well. I was wondering based on experience and what others have shared here, when they resubmit their application again, did they just use the same old forms that they had earlier or used new ones?

CIO is getting extremely fast these days, only two weeks from the date of application to the date you received back the application, websphereguy, and that's super fast!! I think it took them 8 - 12 weeks to return some of the earlier applications (due to this exact same mistake). Anyway, as TyrusX mentioned, just re-send back the forms, it should be fine, though it's probably now a good opportunity to make sure that everything is filled properly (like if you're missing a field or two, etc).

Hi All,

I just got the reject email from CIO.  The point calculation is ridiculous, my education point is only 20. I got my

master degree long time ago and I provided official material for that. How come?

Your application was assessed based on the occupation(s) in which you requested assessment.  The table below sets out the points assessed for each of the selection criteria:

You have obtained insufficient points to qualify for immigration to Canada, the minimum requirement being 67 points.

You were assigned 20 points for your Bachelor in Engineering educational credential.

You were assigned 12 points for your official language proficiency.  This assessment was based upon the language results on file.  No points were assigned for your second official language.

No points were assigned for arranged employment.

You were assigned maximum points for age and work experience.

No points were assigned for the five adaptability elements as no information was supplied for these elements:

1/ Spouse educational credentials,

2/ previous period of study in Canada by the skilled worker or spouse,

3/ previous period of work in Canada by the skilled worker or the skilled worker's spouse,

4/ Relative living in Canada and

5/ for being awarded points for arranged employment in Canada.

You have not obtained sufficient points to satisfy me that you will be able to become economically established in Canada.

guys, what should I do next?

sorry to hear that jackson..it's awful they didn't give you  credit for your masters degree...since you are from china, i was wondering if you looked at item 20 on the document checklist where they say you have to get a credentials report if your post-secondary degree is from the people's republic of china??
if you already did this, then i don't have a clue why they would reject your masters degree Sad
i would suggest to re-write your IELTS to get all 16 points as soon as possible...then you would definitely get the required points for assessment!

I don't know. I provide my bachelor and master materials all from the same university, which means they are in the same format. I don't know why bachelor is counted but master is not. Will they return my package to me?

jackson2209, I am really sorry that they rejected your application. However, since it does look like that there might be a mistake on their part, you can try telling them to reconsider your application using the following tips:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-to-deal-with-an-unfair-ner-a-negative-eligibility-review-t67741.0.html

The OP was actually able to overturn the NER into PER, and they heard back the next day. Let us know how it is, and please do not give up just yet.
