Hi All,

I'm in a bit of dilemma as I'm applicable under two categories (NOC)

1122 – Professional Occupations in Business Services to Management
7241 – Electricians (Except Industrial and Power System)

My case is I' have two years diploma in Electrical Wiring & Contracting, worked 4 years as electrician, then moved on and did bachelors degree and Now I have MBA and currently working as project manager. The experience as electrician is within the last 10 years. Do you think I should qualify as electrician?  On either category I'm able to achieve 67 points.

Seniors please guide, which NOC should I apply. I'm inclined towards applying as electrician as the quota is still open, but wonder if two years diploma is enough and will my MBA give conflicting picture.

highly appreciated your input.

Hi Tux,

1122 is capped for this year.

If you have all documentation (offer letter, job description, experience letter et.) for your work experience in 7241, go ahead and apply.
The criteria is that you need at least one year full time paid work experience in the last 10 years in any one of the 29 NOCs to apply as a FSW Category 1.

You can use 7241 as first priority and 1122 as second priority.

This is what i want to know, how to do it. I'm sure there must be many people like me who had different work experiences.
but i have synergy between two jobs as now I'm Project Manager (data center specialist) not daily but often i have to supervise electricians.
