Hello friends help me. My husband sponsor was refused. I filed an appeal in March, 2011. How long does it take for the hearing? Does any one have experince in appeal processing? Please share with me your experience

His visa was refused because of the police clearance. He couldnot submit the malaysian police clearance. I filed an appeal on March 2011 and i received a approval letter from IAD. Now i have to waite for the 120 days to get the file from sri lanka.
do you how long does it take for the hearing?

It can take a year or more to get an appeal hearing. It depends on which office will be doing it. It also depends on whether they decide your case merits a full hearing, or seems quite simple and can just go to an ADR - which can be six months or more.

oh yea. I filed an appeal on March 31, 2011. so I have to waite for another year for the hearing and waite for another year to get visa. its too strange.
do you know any good immigration lawyers to handle the appeal. If you know please let me knwo
