I just got a letter from Buffalo requesting my
          1. 2006 thro' 2009 tax returns
          2. Proof of funds

My questions are:

1. Does this mean they are ok with my submission except the 2 requests above?

2. Why would they want tax returns? and 4 years?

3. On the proof of funds, I dont keep much cash in my account most of my money are in Roth IRA,Traditional IRA & 401K. Are statements from those account acceptable?

I just noticed that my status changed to inprocess exactly one year after my original application was received by Nova scotia on feb 19, 2009.

Congratulation for the progress in your application, may i ask whether you are residing in Canada or the States, and when did Buffalo receive your application exactly ? because most buffalo applicants do not get their applications processed before one year from the application date of receipt at Buffalo not the CIO !

Your case looks pretty fast comparing to Buffalo applicants.


For your question about the tax returns, the answer depends on the kind of work experience documents that you have submitted first ?

I reside in the US and the date I gave was the receipt by CIO. I sent my full docs to Buffalo first week of June 2009 and received AOR on June 22, 2009.

Do you mind letting us know if you have a job offer in Canada? FSW1 or FSW3?

Also what is your NOC code? From your previous posts, i looks like 0213.. Do let us know..

Me2land,

Sometimes buffalo make mistakes.They have processed one application within the allocated time frame.Its an achievement,I would love to give Olympic gold medal to Buffalo.
